Like the title explains this is so noobish i'm afraid to ask...What exactly is shin bang?

lets convert this thread into a 'i hate shin bang!' thread, cuz lord knows we can never have enough of them.

heres why i hate it....

1- it hurts

2- it sucks explaining huge bruises on my shins to drunken hotties

3- it takes forever for them to go away

4- it hurts

I had shin bang pretty much all last year, then i stopped riding backseat and got boots that actually fit me, and its been much better.

whats worse, shinbang or toejamming? i never get shin bang, but powder/backseat landings make my toenails turn black. that usually hurts a bit.

Gat damn shin bang, it takes forever for the pain to go away. I tried this rub called myoflex (sp) last time and it seems to work pretty well.
