i kind of like teh semi-secret society of freeskiing , its like what teleskier(?) said earlier how if he sees a tele skier in the park they are instantly connected,for freeksiers it's maybe not liek that always on the hill, but if there are only 5 at a school youre prolly gogint o get to know each other...

at my local hill there are tons of snowboarders, most of which suck ass. they all run their mouths and when it comes time for them to back it up they cant. lately the skiers at my hill have been getting more respect though because we go bigger and push harder than any snowboarder there.

Let me tell you THIS and it really works.

If you have access to a t.v when your cousins or whoever says this to you, just through in a ski movie and have them watch a few clips. I showed some of my snowboarding friends some videos and now they have nothign to say to me

 
at my school (or at least in my grade) we have about 5 kids that freeski and we made a ski movie and everybody was stoked on it so we all just get along. it helps that all the snowboarders suck so they have to respect us.

All of us still get that shit probably. But they DONT EVEN KNOW. If they saw us bustin way huger shit than they ever could..they might recognize. 90% of those kids are the posers that can't do shit in the park, or the ones that just 'ride' around, because they have no balls in the first place to go into the park.

If they don't know what freeskiing is about, they obviously haven't been in a park to see what we do anyway. So your just talking to an ignorant piece of shit that isn't even that great at snowboarding in the first place. They shouldn't be repping snowboarding anyway.

Being out there skiing every day, good or bad, just playing around with friends, with no contests or filming- that is the real spirit of skiing for me. that is why i started skiing, and if i lose those moments that is what will make me stop skiing.
 
Skiing has pretty much taken over my previously snowboard dominated mountain (Ski Roundtop). All the boarders just sit at the top of the hill and watch 20 skiers kill the park. It's sooo cool how the tides have turned. I've had so many snowboarders come up to me and say 'Hey man, i'm thinking about trying skiing. It's super sick!'

It's really awesome to see people respecting freeskiing. Also, Roundtop has gotten away from ride ons and is building gnarly jumps with big gaps onto all the rails. It's so awesome!

yeah u ever notice though that the snowboarders that rip on skiers generally suck, the good snowboarders give the skiers at my mt, and everywhere else ive been, respect and i respect what they can do.

I love to ski so much.
