I AM LEGEND

DONT READ IF YOU DONT WANT THE MOVIE SPOILED

Does he die at the end like in the book , well not die, but about to be executed?

it was o.k. I saw it in imax. It was decent. I HATED the ending, but the rest of the movie was pretty ok. def not my favourite movie. I wont see it again.

ohhhhhhhhhh. that clears up alot. thank youu quite much friend.

for some reason i was thinking it was gonna be like mutated animals or some hit. haha

the movie was great, action packed, suspenful.....but the ending was terrible, it made me want to not see the movie

thats awsome. i thought it was going to be stupid aliens or soemthing. definatly have to go see this soon

I think seeing that movie was like the equivalent of doing acid.

But WAYYY COOL! So intense, while also sort of confusing. I thought the plot was way cool, and the action was very good. WEAAAAAAAK ending for sure though.

i heard its not really like the book at all. but i havnt read it. movie was sick though. and i kinda agree with everyone else on the ending

the movie was definately a sad one, and i didnt quite care for the ending, but overall it was pretty legit with a decent storyline and good cinematography so im all good, id say it was worth seeing

^haha yeah cause most hollywood movies are really lacking in cinematography, eh? But yeah I definitely enjoyed it. Cool structure and subplots. Will Smith is a damn good actor, but I was waiting for his rap theme song! The lack of his rapping was much more disappointing than the ending.

the movie has so many plot holes, and the cg animals and zombies wern't very good for the christmas blockbuster it was supposed to be. The flashbacks were kinda lame too. Will Smith did a pretty decent job though.

Stupid Question about the end though

Why doesn't he just throw the grenade through the plexiglass when the zombie first made the hole, because he probably could have survived that but it would have had the same affect on the vampire zombie things

Why is everyone hating on the ending. I thought it was great. What more do you want?

*Don't read any further if you don't want to be spoiled*

He saved the human race and sacrificed himself. The only part I didn't like was how he was saved on the pier. A little too much. But the ending was great tied up some loose ends and left me feeling good about the movie. It didn't have that crappy cracker jack Hollywood ending. I felt the same leaving that movie as I did leaving children of men. And those two movies were really similar.

I like children better though.

That is one of the better movies I have seen though.

The movie was pretty good. I was dissapointed however. I wasn't looking forward to a watered down but better made version of "into the darkness". The dramatic sorta going crazy parts were good. I still have a hard time with movies where viruses make people into zombies. It's stupid to me.

The CGI was lame, and some of the shots were stupid. I hate the no tripod, no dolley, cameraman running with the actor shots to be like you are actually there. it can be used well, but in this movie it wasn't. gave me a headache.

The ending was super rushed. kinda hokey. that zombie was banging his shit against the plexiglas.. I mean, come on, it's still a human body. Dumb.

Whatever though, could have been better, but it was decent. It was scarier than any of the "scary movies" i have seen in a long time.

the movie was ok the ending suxed

it made me happy he named his kid after bob marley

he shoulda just punched one of the infected in the face and been like "welcome to earth" or something like that.

hahahaha

I though it was alright, ending def didnt do justice for it....

I thought the special effects were kinda lame on the infected humans. I thought it was kinda lame that there was that one super freak guy chasing smith throughout the whole movie. Like you kept seeing that one dude over and over. Hah i loved that scene when he unleashed the hounds on him...so lamee. I got annoyed to when those dogs couldn't cross that sliver of light until it was completely gone. It would have been like a little sizzle to them, that pissed me off

Overall its def a movie to go see, it's good, but not the best. It's pretty scary in some parts like when sam goes into that place... i was just waiting for crap to jump out the whole time. I almost cried too when sam died.

yeah, the movies nothing like the book... doesnt even take place in the same city. but will smith pulled off an overall good movie. little short, though

my lady did....

I thought as far as zombie movies go it was a 10. i think the whole grenade thing was just dramatic hollywood comming in

you would think that if he had like the biggest city in the u.s. that he would have done alot more and been alot more prepared and shit.  like first of all why the hell would he choose a mustang???  for some reason that just pissed me off.  he could have had any mercedes, audi, lambo, ferrari, porsche, but he goes with a ford.  and you can tell ford paid alot to turn it into a ford commercial,  like some of the shots of the different cars are seriously straight out of a commercial.

and second i would have set up a much better house to live in.  the car bomb thing was a good idea,  but with a whole city full of shit to use you would think he could have made it bombproof, and atleast have like a final place to hide thats like impossible for them to break through, its like once any of them breaks into the house he is fucked.

and the zombies/vampires or whatever looked shitty as hell, they should have just used real people and without like superhuman abilities, since they are pretty much starving zombies.

and i also kinda wish they would have shown him like having fun,  i know its supposed to be a serious movie and all,  but i would have soooo much fun in nyc if i was the only one and there were no laws and everything is free, like i cant even imagine all the possibilities.

^ the one part when he opens a cabinet there like 30 car keys on the door, im sure he had more than just the mustang and the SUV

my cousin and i snuck in and watched about 5 minutes of it. I soiled a good pair of underwear watching Will Smith get his ass kicked by that one "creature". Damn...

Here's what you do:

Take a movie idea that has been done before, with a great idea and storyline.

Spend lots of money on imagery and sets, to establish an incredible feel.

Grab Will Smith who has shown great range in his acting recently.

And then Hollywood the shit out of it. Ford advertisements, cliche this and that. Sad dog sacrifice, miraculous "deus ex" endings, twice! Once on the pier and again with the community in Vermont.

I was very excited to go see it, and felt very hollow when leaving. There was nothing in it to make it an above average film. Every time they did something right, they did two things wrong or what felt cliche. I just couldn't escape the thought that they took my money. I wasn't treated to a cinematic masterpiece, I was being flashed with images that would appeal in one way or another to at least one person. Everybody goes home feeling ok, and the movie is a hit.

They could have pushed that film in a completely different direction, and that is what I expected. I should have known what it was going to be.

If you just enjoy the movie it was pretty good. If you go in expecting to see something that will change your life then look else where.

I thought it was very suspenseful and enjoyable. 8.50 well spent.

i thought it was a great movie..... it was pretty scary/suspenseful at times...... the part where he killed sam was really sad....... i liked it

8.5/10

and the scary thing about the movieis it is actually possiblefor something like that to happen.......

i thought it was a pretty good movie. the bob marley part was kind of random and unnecesary, maybe even a bit of a movie cliche, but overall it was entertaining.

I to thought about the house he lived in, and why he didn't pick another one or secured his current one better. Either give him a professionally secured house, or give us a reason why he stayed in his old one.

And the part where Anna told him that God told her to go to Vermont really didn't make any sence to me. I can understand that people are receiving signs from God, but i don't think the lord gives sucks specific advises.

And about the crazy zoombie we kept seeing throught the movie, i noticed someone metioned it earlier; The Zombie Will Smith caught from the house the deer and his dog ran into could have been that zombie's wife or something. Then when Smith cought her, the male "main" zombie got pissed!
