alright last nite me and some friends decided to go trough a fourwheeler trail in my dads truck some how something happened to it the transmition light came on my dad found out that i went through the trail i havent talked to him yet help what do i do im in shit
 
My truck is newer (2006 Chevy Silverado) and the transmission light always comes on for me.
 
i just riped the door thingy on the back of my dads truck off by puting up the garage door and it was open and the door got it and bent it altheway other and riped it off i think its safe to say im fucked
 
unless you were abusing it badly by redlining or not shifting well or i suppose maybe burying it in mud deep enough to cover the tranny you sreally shouldnt have damaged the tranny. it is possible if you bottomed out on something right on the tranny you could have fucked it. Is this s new truck? how many miles on it? manual or automatic? does it drive differently now, or does it shift really hard? take it and get the transmission fluid flushed and replaced. and learn a lesson taking a truck down a 4 wheeler trail is not a bright idea for a couple reasons, a 4 wheeler trail is usually a lot narrower, unless yo uknow how to trail ride it is never a good idea.
 
shit, idk, good luck tho. hopefully nothings wrong and you just got scared for nothing, but i doubt it
 
You'll be alright man. This is one of the things you'll joke about over Thanksgiving dinner in 15 years. For now it might seem like it sucks, but in the sceme of your life it is not bad at all. Good luck
 
oh no...Sounds like the tranny is toast, you probably need a whole new engine...Thats a lot of papers to deliver to replace it...
 
I don't think it'd be that bad, I mean, 4x4 truck's are kind of meant to take a beating.
 
well grab your dads pattle and smash it alot so it fractures, so when he hits you with it it just breaks and then he cant hit you with it. til he makes a new one, saves your ass some time off.

just when he asks what you did laugh and point at him.
 
tell him the truth. Then explain that you will do what it takes to repair it. If he grounds your or whatever and doesn't ask you to pay for the repair then thats better.

SUCk it up... man up.
 
this might sound gay, but if u tell the truth u can hold this over his head for years to come by saying u were always honest. think about the future man.
 
Sound like a good idea, so when he hits you you end up with splinters jammed 6 inches into your ass as apposed to a bruise. Great idea...
 
My friend's dad just finishing cleaning his truck and then my friend took it one night night and did donuts in the mud and spun around in 4whd and caked the engine bay with mud. His dad was not happy.
