yea totally agree with you man on that one man. though you gotta care to a certain extent to try and get a point across. It's easy to be a sheep and follow what everyone is doing, but it takes a stronger mind to go against it.

You seem to have quite a bit of anger and hate to spread around. I never said anything about encouraging hate. Way to put words in my mouth. What I meant in my last post is it's good to see that lots of us aren't just settling for the usual "snowboarders hate all the time, what does it matter anymore?", and are recognizing that Danny Kass said something stupid and are willing to call him out on it. If you do nothing, the relationship between skiers and snowboarders will distance and worsen. There is a big difference between standing up for the sport you love and have a passion for, versus hating on someone or something because someone thinks the guy is a prick.

Standing up for yourself isn't weak, I think slinking away from a passion and whining about "these little fags" is more in that category.

 
And by standing up for yourself I was talking about the transworld thread and trying to let Danny know about our opinions, not the P/S thread, which was kinda a complete failure...
 
Fuck dude I completely agree with you, I posted in the transworld thread, but I did it tastefully (Baffled). i AM talking about the photoshop thread where they are taking it overbored (Distasteful) and not logical, just stupid. Just look at 860's post, that is what I was trying to get across, he made it short and to the point I'm just pissed at the way people are reacting to it they are blowing it out of proportion just like how this thread got blown out of proportion.
 
Well your thread-titling skills worked. I'm not going to shut the fuck up even though I haven't been freestyle skiing since 2002...I have been trying tricks and having fun on the mountain during race practice though since I was 12, which was 2003. I don't think that skiing is shit now, it's better than it's ever been, kids are way less douchey than they used to be...

maybe you've just been looking at the immature 13 year olds that think they're the shit. there are always going to be kids like that out there, just deal with it.

And everyone needs to grow up and leave this be. Photoshopping pictures of Danny Kass is straight up childish and just makes everyone look like an idiot.

yah people may have switched from snowboarding to skiing because it was "cooler" like you said, but they are still doing it now so they must be hving fun. Why does this make a diffrenct for skiinggone to shit anyways? is it because there are more people supporting the industry? or the sport getting more attention?
and just because you were in the sport before others doesnt mean that they have no opinion. I can agree, stuff has changed since then but that doesnt make give you the right to tell people on an online forum what to do

skiing is still in a movement mabye not as much as it was back in 2000 but its still on the rise

This is a perfectly legitimate perspective on the issue and one I'm not altogether unsympathetic for. But doesn't switching sports seem like kind of an extreme response to a thread on the internet? Just saying...
