I AM A SKIER

i want one of those bands. and the tshirt states the truth. and alos, no one cares what you would and wouldnt do

um yeah you can say that and personally i agree but if you care to cast your eyes to the most popular thread atm on ns and you'll see that it is entirely about clothes....aka. "post your setup"...so clearly the majority of ns members feel differently.

you guys are definately retards... you've gotta support the sport that supports you. and that's all it comes down to period.

fuck you ya arrogant jackass there are several people out there that have gag wristbands as a joke or for example for competing in the NY state meet of cross country they gave me a wristband and it had nothing to do with donating. The wristbands are certaintly overplayed you would think that these huge corporations and associations or whatever would have a little creative ingenuity to come up with something besides a wrist band because there are too many different orginizations with wrist bands. They are certainly "overplayed" score one for me bitch.

i dont really see what the big deal here is, i mean people were team shirts, unis etc. to support teams they like and players they like so whats wrong with people wearing a shirt that promotes a sport and lifestyle they like, so some people here are saying that wearing the shirt makes u look like stuck up and such and uneccessarily promotes the shirt, well if i wear a redsox shirt am i uneccessarily promting the team i love, i dont think so, im just showing that i support something as are the people who wear the i am a skier shirts

1. take the stick out of your ass. 2. whats wrong with the east? sorry that im not rich enough to travel out west and ski nice pow whenever i want, sorry that i was born on the east where i had to put up with shitty conditions, yet i was still out there every day while all you west coast kids were bitchin cause you only got a foot of freshies (no, that doesnt go to everyone, just people like this douche), skiing is a lifestyle and im sure as hell going to represent it with a shirt, or a hat, or whatever the hell i want, i work at a shop as well and my car is covered in sticker... wait oh no, stickers, is that bad too? i cant rock my mountains sticker can i? what is your deal

u said the livestrong bands are overplayed not the wristbands in general in ur first post and now u say wristbands as a whole u need to specify which one is, he was write calling u out for saying "livestrong" bands are overplayed, however i do agree that the whole wristband thing has blown up, with nike and addidas makin ones that support themselves and no foundation or anything

wow, you are a certifiable retard. you specifically said that the Livestrong bands were "overplayed". for the record, the Livestrong band STARTED the whole thing. the Livestrong wristbands are donations to the Lance Armstrong Foundation which uses the money to fund cancer research. why don't you check your facts before you completely blow up again?

hey...listen to my point, im saying that the kids who wear those shirts have no idea what skiing is about...go ahead and memorize your shitty new movies, go ahead and be core (or think you are), be down to the new-school movement, come out west and a lot of people dont care abou that shit, just ski man. And thatoneguy is a shit talking peice of shit who cant ski for real, along with most of the people who wear "I am a skier" shirts.

I'm not a skier I am a twoplankin knuckle dragging fashion monkey with no sense of what is going on around me (big headphones and loud ipod do wonders)

This is the stupidest thread yet on NS. First I thought it was the thread where all you pussy's were showing picutures of your outterwear, but this is way more superficial.

I saw this guy in Vegas who's t-shirt read "Dead chicks don't Scream". Now there's a t-shirt to talk about. Shut up and go ski.

so if i wore i am a skier shirt....i wouldnt know what skiing is about....yeah just because im wearing an i am a skeir shirt i think im core...and i cant ski because i wear a t-shirt? youuur sooo messed up...read what you type before you send it...because that made no sense whatsoever...so lets put this in a listing format

If you wear a line I am a skier shirt you:

1. cant ski

2. watch new ski movies

3. you are down for the new school movement

4. and you are a talking piece of shit

mmm what a nice list for wearing a T-SHIRT!

I just would like to see skiers to care a lil more about their passion, it's a precious and personal thing, way too worthy to shout it out like the shirt does...

...anybody remember Armada's answer to the "I AM A SKIER"-shirt? nah?:

"SNOWBOARDING, SO HOT RIGHT NOW!"

...now THIS was a hell of a shirt!

Excellent point. People are proud to be skiers. Plain and simple. For years snowboarding was the "cool thing" to do. But those of us who stuck with our sticks are now saying I'm a skier and proud of it.
