last summer i built a set up, but where i live in wisconsin it gets really fucking hot. so it was a pain in the ass to have to put my boots on and sweat my ass off while trying to ski. this year i came up with a solution. since i only have 1 pair of bindings, i took my super super old skis and hot glued my old ipaths onto them. looks like this:

it may seem stupid, but this really helps the object of a summer set up- practice. you can just slip the ski-shoes on and off instead of wasting time buckling your boots and they are way lighter thahn real skis which makes trying new tricks easier.

to make them all i did was hot glue the sole of the shoe onto the ski in the center, and then put hot glue all around the outside of the shoe to make sure it doesnt move. they are super durable and you can also use them on your trampoline to practice grabs and spins easily.

i really suggest everyone with a summer set up tries it.

my skis are old enough so that there really is no edge.

oh and with enough hot glue, anything will stay in place.

no they dont at all i tried skiing in my sneakers by clipping into my bindings and you cant control the ski at all. it would be fun to try but you could get hurt easily i bet

well to answer your questions, you can pretty much do everything except nose and tail presses. i 270'd off both ways, did both side switchups, and pretzel switchups without any damage to my shoes, ankle, or the glue. just try it its really fun.

i skate, fish, workout for football, crochet and rollerblade. but i just wanted to ski in the summer too. is that okay with you assface?

i can just see it now...

This week, on Scarred!

"it seemed like a good idea, i just wanted to ski in the summer. but then i broke my leg in half."

from my experience of trying to ski in my sneakers just by clicking into bindings I dont picture this working well, but maybe if the shoe is really well attatched it might be a little better. I think i'd rather just have a few more inches of my body be hot and have the control of normal boots though I think.

No. It's not OK with me.

LESS SUMMER SKIING, MORE SUMMER OTHER THINGS.

Go skate, fish, workout, crochet, and, uh, fruitboot or whatever. Enough with skiing, it's fucking June.

some of us just like skiing that much, let us do what we want no ones telling you what to do on your free time

i just got my wisdom teeth out today so i cant really do much but as soon as i can im gonna get some pictures of me on the skis so disprove the haters. haa but seriously, its not as dangerous as it seems. at all. it feels like normal skiing.

i know its been said, but im cereal i wanna see vid. teh reason i want to see vid is because im rooting for your idea, and i want you to prove everybody wrong..

I hate to claim, but I pulled that one this spring, I taped a pair of sandals to some old skis I had and hit up some rails. Its mad hard and yes it fucks with your ankles but its a legit concept.

wow. are you for real? of course since your shoe has nothing to connect with the binding. in his case, hes using glue, therefore its like the boot + binding except its way lighter and less support.

i cant believe you wrote this

hes saying you wouldnt be able to control turning because you actually use your calves to help stabalize your turn

i cant believe you tried to prove him wrong by writing this

sorry i'm bumping this, but im really thinking of doing it, is everyone sure this will not be a complete waste of my urban skis?

I'd stick to boots and bindings, it takes two seconds to put your boots on, and then your ankles will remain intact for real skiing

ya but i would need to pay to change the binding size some bindings cause i have bigger boots then i had last year
