I was playing with my dog and like an idiot didn’t put my phone in a good place. I lost it, and looked over every inch in my yard for 2 hours no luck.

then I forgot about find my iPhone and found it in 5 min.

morale of the story don’t be an idiot like me or use find iPhone.

my iphone is somewhere in art's bowl on peak 7 here in Breck. It fell out in wet snow so even with find my iphone I can't hear the noise and then it died. I will be going up there this summer to find it, mark my words.

My buddy had a pretty nice watch fall of his wrist while skiing off of Pali at A Basin, didn't realize until the end of the run, went back in the summer to look for it and somehow found it, it was half covered under a rock in a scree field. He brought a metal detector with him but didn't even need to use it, just got insanely lucky. Still skis with that watch to this day, albeit with a more secure strap.
