I agree with Jacob, This site sucks now, so many kids just talk so much shit and hate on people for no reason, I still get shit from kids that I dont even know. Even Doug B talks shit, and makes big threads "Fuck the switch 10" Directly calling out athletes. Why cant people just chill, and have a good time. I truely do love newschoolers, and all the great things that have happened on here, but its going in the wrong direction now, Im not saying im done with newschoolers, but I am going to delete my acount. As of feb 27th (surgery), I will be out for the season, rehabing my knee, so I'll see you all hopefully in NZ in aug. So untill then everyone on this site better go kill it.

O yeah, Check out Rage Films new flick, The WhiteNasty, They have really stepped there shit up from last year and I have been workin super hard to get a seg done before surgery.

thats highly respectable, all these pro's coming out and calling us out on how rude we are to eachother is a good thing and needs to put us back into our own place...and make skiing about having fun again
 
in some cases yes, i also see alot of the better riders talking down on those kids who are learning and come on here and ask questions about the sport
 
Newschoolers is here so we can all come together with people who enjoy the same sport we do. Keepin it positive and fresh is what the community needs not the hating. I don't think anybody wants bad vibes in here, but as the sport grows so does the # of people here and some are going to be lame. W/e

regarding what you said about the fuck the switch 1080 thread, thats just a members opinion. thats what these forums are for, so you really cant blame people for liking or not liking certain tricks. yes i hate the 1 foot grind, im gunna voice my opinion about it. i do agree tho that there is way to much shit talking

there's a difference between voicing your opinion in an open forum and discussing it among other members of the site.... and just straight up shit talking. i feel like a lot of things said on this site are misinterpreted, people try to question aspects of the sport and industry and instead of intelligible replies, agreeing or disagreeing, someone always has to come and make some one line reply about how dumb the thread starter is or how so and so and whatnot is gay. it's just unfortunate how it's like a vicious cycle, someone disagrees with something said and instead of making a good argument against whatever the topic of discusion is they just get pissed and the shittalking begins. anyway, peace out spriggs.

Something really needs to be done to make this hate stop. there has to be a solution.

yeah ns can be lame at times, im sure we all know that, but just cause a couple of guys are immature, that dosent mean the whole ns is bad, kinda a generalization. i just ignore people who are always downers/hater, they dont deserve the thought of posting back at.
 
there was a forum posted called haters. It was about this exactsame thing,but instead of getting some postives out of it people bitched at him telling him to STFU

cant u tackle critism? Its a fact that big jump competiotions arent interesting at all anymore because of the 1080.(thats why we have nice big jump comps like jon olsson inv :) )

say whatever you want....this site isnt a community or real world. express yoru opinion dont make it a utopia. i like to hear debate on this site. either way, if you are worrying about this in the winter, you need to go ski. it would be a better world if a big air was one buy favre's 7 but judging wants to see huck so thats why there is no future in big air, cuz there is no room for progression or variation.
 
i really respect everyones opinion and i think that mostly the problem is this. people think, why should i care about what other people think of me online, on ns? should you care. i doubt everyone on here is as much of douche as they are on ns. im sure ns used to have a smaller population and respect ran around. but now theres too many poeple too notice anything. although now theres soooo much people acting like dicks its all fucked. i hang out on some smaller forums and i like it. you can keep track of people and kids watch their asses more. ask yourselves if you should care what other people think of you on ns? i think you should, plus its just depressing to yourself and lowering yourself doing and saying such rediculous things. i hope everyone reads these threads so they realize whats happening. if all the vets leave, whos left? a bunch of stoned 13 year olds? shhhitt man.
 
i think its great a 10 won the big air contests. no ones seven was as smooth as schillers 10, so i dont really see an issue.

my opinion is that you all take ns too seriously. its the internet, of course there will be hate, its anonomoysaiduas. i thinkt that if we all met at a mountain one day, there would be almost no hate. so who cares if someone on ns didnt like your sw 10? it an opinion. either take it into consideration, or just ignore it. but deleting your account? who cares? whats the point of it? just dont come on ns if you dont like it.
 
we need a sticky that is really a pledge to stop bashing and be more respectful, maybe instead of saying searchbar give a new person a link to a thread
 
i completely agree with you, matt. this can be backed up by my experience last wednsday at liberty, when i showed up with some snowboarder friends, met some pretty good skiers, and we all just chilled, had fun, cheered each other on, and none of us knew each other. we all had different styles, i was decked out in full siver and a bandana, which can get alot of attenetion, but its what i like to wear, and some kids were all gangstered out, but noone said a word about clothing or style, we were all just kids havin fun. i think it is not the sport that has a problem, its just the internet. its the ability to anonymously say whatever the fuck comes to youre head with no reprecussion whatsoever, where as in real life, people want to have friends, and be nice, naturally, so it doesnt work like NS in the real world. in short, the internet is the problem, but we cant fix this, so people just have to grow up and deal.
 
Maybe the mods and admins should start making this a cleaner site, and clear up the hate thread and get on the buts deleting posts/threads.
 
i agree with jacob and spriggs, it almost seems that people come on here with the intent to put people down and make fun of them, especially when u see like people with 20 posts come on and jus call some one down for no reaon whatsoever, and its a legitimate question about equipment or a trick or a resort. it is dissapointing to see it happen and now were losing pro skiers because of it, so all of ns should make a movement to be less harsh to people and instead of tearing some one down we should help them out, some people probably havent skied much and they make a name and come on here asking a question and instantly their made fun of and called names, and its likley that that person wouldnt ski again or worse, switch to snowboarding.

also, the skiers dont care about sw 10s, they need to get paid so they can take care of their shit. and if judges want sw 10s, then you need to do that shit to get paid. they have responsibilities as well and can only ski at this level for 5 years max.
 
I am down with the whole Idea, no saying gay noobs and searchbar and lets all just come together like this sight is for. Skiing is for fun also but its always good to have proggresion, competition and good skiing but we can always be supportive.
 
someday everyone will grow up and stop acting like there 13...unless your 13 then its ok to immature... but if not... then that sucks!
