Clear Creek County: WB I-70 closed at MM-228 due to a 10 car accident at MM-226 and very poor road conds

I mean..WTF....can people really not drive in "winter conditions"? People need to slow down and stop driving like an ass. The mountains will still be there when you get to them...the speed limit is "weather permitting" SHIT.

the speed limit is get the fuck out of my way on 70. Glad I was already skiing when they closed it though

It only snowed a few inches yesterday. Wack.

And regarding all the accidents on Vail Pass. I don't know how they'd do it, but if there was a separate truck lane not next to where the cars drive, that would be good. It's always the stupid semis causing pileups on there.

I love sitting in front of people like that...its snowing out, roads are slick and you still wanna go 80....Those are the morons that cause the hwy to be closed.

i disagree... it's the morons that want to try and drive up there in their 2 wheel drive POS and freak out. Slamming the breaks and hoping for the best... that's what closes 70

I see more SUVs on the side of the road than anything else on 70. Just because you drive a big car doesn't mean you can drive 80+ when the road is icy/snow packed.

ok... then people that arent used to driving in snow slamming on the breaks and hoping for the best. It's not the snow it's the driver. When it's snowpacked I dont drive 80+ either.. that's stupid, 55 tops. But I mean if you know how to drive in snow, then it's not a problem.

I woke up the other morning and had to drive 30 miles, and on 3 connecting high ways....405 to the 10 to the 110....took 3 and a half hours.....you guys have it good!

Ha yeah this i know! And luckily alternate routes in colorado can get you somewhere and are usually open. And the realization that working in the ski industry is worthless. Yes i loved it, tons of fun, but its a joke trying to get paid, its amazing how much you get used and disrespected, especially when your young. Half the time if you told your going to get paid "enough" it means you may never get paid. So thats what drove me to move to LA.

this isn't true in the case for everyone, probably not for shop owners and people that work for specific companies, but i picked bad apples over and over and could never make ends meet, so don't take it that the whole industry is that way, but there is a decent amount like this.

I told you to ask for more, Jeff. You are extremely talented at what you do, and they knew that they were not paying you what you should actually have been paid. Sometimes you have to step up to the plate and be assertive. You have to say, "Hey, I'm doing this, this and this for you...I should be getting paid a bit more for what I do." Either they will laugh at your face and say get out because you caught their little game, or they will be respectful and will think that you truly know what you are doing and deserve more. It's the industry. You have to be a bitch sometimes to get to the top. I think LA is good for you though.

I wish I got paid. But that's not why I do it. Bummer to hear you got out of it though. I thought they were getting better for you.

nah man i loved it too! Trust me i did, but it was a struggle, i wasn't even making enough to pay rent somewhere 30 miles outside of summit county....so imagine trying to eat and drive haha.

will do!

I've already seen Britney.

She crashed into me while she was trying to put makeup on. Oh and i saw a Reno 911 dude at some place called the Grove, oh and all shoes, even vans slip ons cost 30 dollars more here! Good news though gas is only 3.89 right now....

it blows me away that the ski industry is so grimy....its way worse than even the snowboard industry... people just disrespect and lowball people that are more than qualified.... unless it pertains to racing

yeah I always thought everyone was cool with everyone in the ski industry... guess i'm just oblivious
