Hyalite Canyon

Anybody ever go up there to ski and/or have any suggestions of where to find a good jump/place for one? I'm going to head up there tomorrow to hit a river gap jump and a booter that lands in a sand pit type thing if anybody is interested in tagging along.

I've never heard of anything being super succesful up there. You'd probably have to go pretty high up to get a steep enough pitch. Good luck though. Let us know how it goes.

Hyalite isn't really a good spot to build jumps, I can't think of any places that would be accessible with gear you would want to do that with. It's an awesome place to go touring though; Blackmore, Hyalite, and Emerald Lake all have really good skiing.

stayed at the window rock cabin earlier this winter and built a couple jumps around there. nothing huge though

^ The inrun was super slow yesterday, could be a good jump with a little work. I just wasn't getting the speed that I needed and I was sitting on my bindings the whole way down without speed checking.

Yeah, Jared is a good photographer. Here's one of me ignoring the fact that I couldn't get enough speed and trying to throw corked shit. I came up short and bruised up my back pretty good.

^Nah, just shoveled off the landing before I hit it to make sure there were no rocks. Coming up short in that pic ended my day, trust me.
