(aka summit east) had a huge land slide/avalanche two lift towers were taken out and one cabin was ripped off its foundation and dragged 50 feet lucky my cabin didn t get hit but i heard they are shutting east down for the rest of the season cuz the chair lift is so fucked up and there is only dirt left on the hill

This sucks D. I was planning on spending most of my time at east on weekends since my pass doesn't work at alpental. FUCK.
 
this is what i been thinking about the past year and contemplating if Hyak should get a new chair... riding the old Ketchelis chair during december made me really realize how Hyak is the last sick and secluded hill at the summit and was glad to know that it was going to be a few more years before a new lift would go in... And now this shit ROUND HOUSED me to the face as i got home from school today

eeek, my parents live at hyak! Their house is right below that... its okay though. They said they're dealing with all sorts of crazy flooding and shit.
 
I bet HR would make an exception for you pass holders that have been stripped of your riding due to an act of God? Alpental access would be a good business move on their part anyway.
 
I drove by there. The whole thing is mud. I was going to take the crossover from Silverfir at central but there were too many Ski patrollers just standing there.
