HV20 question

Okay, I am looking in to getting an HV20, and I know it's really good for ski shots, but what about mountain biking? Because when I get a new cam, I will be filming lots of mountain biking in forests, streets, and dirtjumps in open fields. Will the HV20 be good for that? Or what other HD cams that I can get for under $700 would be good?

HV20 will be good, look into the HV30 before you go ahead and decide on the HV20. Get a nice fluid head tripod for that thing too.

this isnt me but its off busted spoke forums... he used an hv20 and it lookes pretty good. i have one now and love it. i got it for xmass so i havent been able to film any biking yet but i will in the spring

Wait, you're getting an HV30? I am too

It's only got 6 things different:

*Better zoom toggle

*It's black

*The hot-shoe cover is tethered to the camera

*You can shoot in 30p (along with 60i and 24p pulldown)

*Better LCD screen

*The HV30 can charge the high capacity battery in one cycle (HV20 can't)

i think that either would work really good, its just if you are willing to spend a little more, but good choice either one
