Hurt thumb

I have hurt my thumbs like too many times to count. Anyways, I was skiing trees at keystone today and literally like straight tore it off on like a tree stump. Wtf, it was so random. I just had my hand down by the ground and coverage was marginal. I had already smacked my forearm on a tree branch earlier but it wasn't broke so now literally one whole arm was engulfed in pain. So around 12 called it a day. Is that too early on a decent powder day or did I just bitch out
 
I sprained my thumb a couple weeks ago, hit it against a door a couple days ago, and it went numb for 10 minutes. Was strange.

Like holy shit dude did you find your like amputated thumb in like the powder? Or could you like not find it because every like pinecone and like rock looked like your thumb?

so did you have to like, literally , shake your decapitated thumb like, out of your glove at the end of the day?
 
The thumb in question is still attached like normal. My other one, while not currently in pain, is fucked. I went to the doctor and he said the lateral ligaments are no longer attached. Now it bends in a funny way.

I don't know what to do about this injury, obviously. I am going to let it rest for a week because I'm a weekend warrior. Hopefully I don't hurt it again next time.

How does one hold poles incorrectly
 
It sounds like you need a form check, why was your hand that low anyways?

The thumbs are the worst though man, I have crushed my thumb plenty of times while riding park and I almost had my nail fall off another time.
 
It's usually after I put my hand down on a landing. This particular time I was skiing trees and same thing. Took a jump and had landed and whacked it on a root or stump I didn't notice kind of hidden in the snow. The base is still kinda weak at keystone.
 
I did that once. The hospital was out of fingers. They gave me the choice between having a thumb and having a dick. I got 10 fingers and I think I made the right call.

I've sprained thumbs so many times skiing hahaha. I actually think it's a thing (called skiers thumb)
