Currently sitting at a strong Category 4, while partly over Cuba. Might be a 5 while cruising on its way to Louisiana. Not looking good for the Gulf Coast and say hello to high gas prices as refineries are forced to evacuate and shut down.

Wonder how bad New Orleans gets it this time. Katrina was just a cat 3 when it hit, if it strikes directly at NO as a cat 3 or greater, the city will be trashed again.

Im worried about the 70 people it killed in Dominican Republic. I got a shit load of family over there and im just hoping it didnt kill one of my cousins

Ehhhh, I don't know if I can feel bad for them. As callous as it may sound, they chose to live in a Hurricane prone area, with virtual no topographical advantage with many parts BELOW sea level...

I certainly wish all the best of luck and don't wish any harm to anyone, but I am pretty annoyed that all the money was spent on rebuilding a city that was just destined to be trashed again.

It's like trying to build a booter in front of a ski patroller 8 years ago at a ski area.

Thats kinda what you get when you choose to build a major city below sea level. Flood gates and dikes and such will only work to a certain degree. Read stephen crane or jack london and you'll see how futile it is to attempt to control nature in that way.

hha yeah i know but you gotta understand, my uncle is was and forever will be a dog. when I say 73% of that country is my family, I mean it. I went down there a few years ago and everyone i met was related to me in some way

you probably met them because they were family..................therefore making that last statement moot.

its humorous when cnn anchors pretend to be weather experts. Hopefully this storm hits far west of new orleans.

+ vibes man. Hopefully your family is all fine. I hate natural disasters, scary ass shit. I'm fortunate enough to live where, dont have to worry about hurricanes, or tornadoes. Just snow storms.
