im kinda mad i paid for this...dont get me wrong, i am 100% behind the nimbus crew and am a huge fan...but wtf? i just watched the movie...after buying it and being so pumped for it. the vibe and everything was SICK...but the footy...i had either seen it before in the webisodes or in reasons...i cant belevie i spent money on this...
like come on...i dont get what they expect...because i am not going to spend more money on a nimbus crew movie if i see all the footy before hand...
i understand the idea of the webisodes, but i dont understand how they would make a movie not even 30 min long, while using most, of the footy that they showed us for FREE throughout the summer! i kinda feel like a sucker for it to be honest...

disclaimer: i am a huge fan of the nimbus crew and their footy i am mearly pissed off i spend 30 bucks on a movie that i had already seen and downloaded for free.
 
we can watch it for free but im assuming that theyre getting money from web advertisements, which is why you can watch shows like the office online for free too. and when buying the movie you had to have expected that you had already seen most of the footy right? the webisodes were all bannnger. it was my understanding that in paying for the dvd youre buying a re edited version of the footy in good quality and the convenience of having it all on a dvd to watch on the tele with some extra shots in there too. oh welll
 
i agree my friend. i agree. i saw it at a premiere along with jib jam and reasons so i was glad to learn that ahead of time
 
The overall editing work that went into all the webisodes as well as the video must have been huge. 5 webisodes at 30 min a piece, plus a 30 minute video equals 3 hours of edited content. No matter how you look at it, $30 is a steal for that much work put in and (damn fine) skiing to watch.

If you hadn't seen the webisodes, it would have blown your mind. Instead, they released the content early, so you could get stoked on it then, and didn't hold anything back. Personally, I would much rather have it early and watch it over in the movie, because it is still amazing.

What Nimbus has done is fucking amazing, and they all deserve huge props for it. No other production company gets me as stoked for skiing, or portrays it in such a realistic manner (with Level 1 a close second). In a couple of years, every major company will be doing webisodes.

My one request: Bring Garrett Russell on for the whole year.

 
I enjoyed the movie, I agree with what you said though, I had this impression of deja vu all along the movie

Idea was way sicker IMO

MUCH RESPEK to all the Nimbus Crew though
 
Don't think of it has Hunting yeti using footage from reasons, but rather reasons using footage from hunting yeti, as that is much more acurate.

Also I thought they made it pretty clear that the movie was going to be a re edited and condensed version of the all the earlier edits.

and I think those 3 + 2 edits we have gotten from them is worth $30, and the movie is kinda a bonus, they easily could have made the edits subsription based, and I think most of you would have bought into that. but they did not so really you paid $30, for a short movie plus 3 more ~30 minute skiing edits, and 2 cool summer edits. also known as $30 for 90 minutes of amazing skiing, plus as bonus features a re edit 30 minute movie plus 2 short summer edits, in addition to whatever bonus features they decided to put on the dvd.
 
still though its like more than a dollar a minute...
and i agree with what all of you have said, but as a consumer i dont want to pay for everyone else getting it free in the summer as well...
all i am sayin is, i think they should have put in a lil somethin extra to those who bought the DVD you know, like a 2nd dvd that had like edits from andy's and chris' perspective...like pollard's yearly 'self edits'...you know? just something that the actual consumers of the movie got that the other kids didnt cause they didnt buy the movie.

I don't know what you were expecting, but you got exactly what they said they were going to do.
 
even though ive already seen all the footy in the webisodes i am going to buy the dvd to support nimbus. How I feel is that buying the dvd is me also paying for watching all the episodes for free. plus i want to see pollards editing in the dvd.
 
not at alla man you can watch as many times as you want to, making it 10¢ a minute if you watch it only 10 times!! and im sure evryone will watch it way more than that.
 
know what man I am in complete agreement with what you said up there. I have downloaded all the webisodes, watched them numerous times, and know all the best parts. but just having it in dvd formet to watch on my nice big tv, surround sound, and the best shit all compiled together, its just nice to have.

i'm more buying it just to support the best crew of skiers doing what they love to do.
 
Yeah you paid 30 bucks for the dvd but you still saw about 150 minutes of sick free footy. Sounds like a pretty good deal to me.
 
well even if you didnt know ahead of time that the movie would be a re-work of the edits, you should have been able to guess that it would be. total time of the edits is over an hour. thats alot of film to have. you cant expect them to have double that to make a completely new movie.
