How late is your season open, we only get till dec 15 for deer but all the small game into Jan or feb

I have gotten big into ducks , I have till Jan 3. the problem I am running into is I am running out of open water . I’ll try to get a couple of days of both this week

FIRST DAY OF ARCHERY DEER

One of these bois is going in the freezer soon. Nothing spectacular but the one in the front is a big buck on the island I live on.

Also ate my last piece of black bear backstraps tonight.

I have moved to Mississippi,I am going to have to do more hunting this year as skiing is out of the question and I want to keep my sanity. Mississippi laws are wild compared to Maine and there are also a lot more hunters so we will see how many fines I rack up , and what land I have to access. This will be my first year hunting deer.

Just drew my first-ever tags for a Javelina hunt in AZ next spring.

Super stoked! Been eating tag soup for a few years in NV. My brother moved down to Phoenix, so I started putting in down there. Happy to get my first chance at an animal!

Went out for duck today, got skunked but the guy directly to the left of me had a field day and left me no second shots. Honestly impressive watching him shoot

14 ducks and a goose so far this year, got my first banded duck too and a nice late season drake wood duck to add to the wall! anyone else on some waterfowl?

Well done! What types of ducks are you shooting? I’ve been out a good bit this season with decent success. What duck was banded? Local bird or migrator?

thanks man! the banded bird was literally from the same TOWN! from 1 and ahalf years ago haha, weird bc it was during a huge cold snap so it was probably a local. this year i only got mallards and woodies and 3 geese, final numbers were 17 ducks nad 3 geese. i hunt private land tiny little farm pond in Connecticut so i dont get that many cool birds but last year i got the usual mallards n woodies but a nice black duck and hooded merg, got the hooded merg on the wall haha. what kinda ducks you getting?

There must be other hunters on NS.

What do you guys hunt, where do you hunt and what do you use?

Harvest anything cool this season? Post a picture or a story!

Looking to get into hunting or just have some questions about it? Ask away!

I hunt Washington state, mostly just deer and small game, but I did my first turkey hunt in Twisp this year and it was awesome.

I use a compound bow for everything but grouse.

From central Illinois here. Big skier and hunter love water fowl and deer. Just got into trapping this year and it’s so much fun as well

Nice going. This season my big numbers were woodies and black ducks. My personal mallard number was way, way down. A few geese, a few bufflehead. I won't shoot mergansers. No good to eat (state even advises against eating them due to toxins), so they always get a pass. No banded birds for me this season or last. It sounds like you have a pretty good waterfowl taxidermy collection going.

Alaska draw tag results were released today. I finally drew an antlerless elk and a goat tag this year after giving my annual donation to ADF&G for years. Super stoked! Who's putting in for what this year?
