Hungry Sloth call out

jesus christ, big deal! he's 15 and his footage is being used by PBP. is that a politically correct enough way to put it?

sloth skiing is lame, they live in AK they could be doing way more legit shit.
 
Mozart was a prodigy. Landis is a sick videographer but not a prodigy. The word is so overused.
 
No hate intended at all, because i love his edits, and his an amazing filmer, but i must admit some of the skiing is pretty weak. But who cares? his edits are still sooo fun to watch. Good style.

I think the kids preety good... havent seen there movies but ive checked out there edits ,... preeety chill stuff, mad potential for the future.. fuck the haters your all just jelous... the sloth is an up and coming company that willkill it in the future.. im all for the underground making it big... so onya.... goo...
 
his angles aren't unique, and i'm sure the alaskan sun helps out a lot.

i've seen good shots from him and bad shots, pretty much what you can expect from a 15 year old and a dvx.
 
You're missing the point man, I'll agree, the actual filming and skiing is good, but nothing mind blowing. I believe Slandis is a prodigy from an editing perspective, I'd like to see any kid on here, regardless of age, beat his editing skills and overall vibe. The answer is nobody can, because his style is unique.
 
If only he could film himself skiing. he has to get his friends who probably aren't half as good at filming as he is to film him.
 
I've been saying this for a while...yes, the filming is good, but newschoolers sucks so much sloth dick its amazing.
 
yea they arent the best skiers ever but the filming is sick, it makes you really feel the awsome time they are having thats why its really cool, oh and they are still good skiers
 
not trying to hate, his videos are pretty neat - but the tittles in the one look like they were straight out of X=10 and i just get a TBC vibe, not THAT unique.

pretty sure i've never seen mountains look like that in whistler.

also, check out the difference of colors in the tahoe edit, everything is pretty much overexposed.
 
This thread if fucking stupid, Kid can obviously film and edit very well and thats coming from someone who hates that type of slowmo electronica edits. If I remeber correctly this year at usasa nationals he placed 2nd so that fact shows he indeed is a good skier. He may be over hyped as a rider because their are people his age that are better at skiing without any type of hookup but thats just life.
 
I thoroughly enjoy his edits, the skiing doesn't blow my mind, but whatever.

To me an edit that makes me feel all fuzzy inside and makes me want to go skiing beats an edit where I end up feeling bad about myself because I'm watching some East Coast kid who's five years younger than me displaying a level of skiing that I can never even come close to achieving. Period.

And about slandis himself, he's on NS a lot, not telling the people on here they are immature, makes good posts, so why wouldn't people hype a fellow NS'er.
