Humans vs humans. why?

It only takes one bad person to undo alot of good done by many people. Like you said others did want to go along with it but the one leader basically controlled them.
The perfect example is Iran the country is full of great people who dont want to hurt anyone else but they have a minority of the population at the top who are brutal evil people. They make Iran look like some "Evil" country bent on the destruction of the most of the world.
 
whoever said anything about utopia? of course there will be violence. But maybe people could try to want less. And to the person who said this is pointless and will never be resolved in our lifetime, I quite disagree. It needs to be solved in our lifetime or I think it will be bye bye homo sapiens in one form or another. There are many many people out there who agree with me and would be willing to pull a successful rainbow six to solve the problem...but I hope that none of us really want that to happen.

War is generally an economic booster for countries as well, and money is the highest super power in all of modernized society. I personally think that there's no way to solve this issue in our lifetime. Going out one day and saying "oh yeah bro did you hear? It's time to stop being violent" won't do anything at all aside from making someone think you're some radical hippie type fucker. Merry Christmas, and good luck changing the mindset of everyone, and reversing the industrial revolution....
 
thank you. I actually hate the idea of money and the economy, and if you can justify war as a booster of the concept of economy I think you really need to rethink your outlook on life.

I am not radical by any means. I'm taking the viewpoints of millions of people, perhaps even billions, and putting them down on here where far too many people are wrapped up in the western mindset that things apart from eating, drinking, and sleeping are important. Nothing is important in this world except for what is essential to live.

Every human being thought like me in our origins. Our main focus was survival. Every other species on the planet has the same goal: to live and exist. Only humans differ. Open up your mind, mr icecoastshred. It might lead you to live a happier life. I can safely say I have never been happier in my life after coming to a profound realization a few months ago. I really do not care if you think this is ridiculous. I think christmas is ridiculous. So I do not wish you a merry christmas, I'll wish you a happy life and I hope you come to realize what is truly important.
 
It's not a mindset, it's a fact. I'm not saying that it's right for war to be an economic booster, and I did not even come close to acting as if it's my "outlook on life". With all due respect, Fuck you for assuming that my word is not fact while your word is nothing but fact.

I'm hoping that my sarcasm meter is broken because if you really don't think that anything is important besides for the essentials there's no way you can justify being a member of a (mainly) skiing website. You obviously have never skied or snowboarded before because it's simply too trivial for you. I say all of this sarcastically because you obviously have skied, and are just a humongous hypocrite, not only for skiing, but also for going on the internet when you say that nothing is important besides for the essentials. Next time you should probably brainstorm an argument before you post it on here.

Anyways here are my thoughts. That's rad that you came to your "profound realization" the other day. I feel that different things are important to different people, and there is no right or wrong when it comes to what is important to someone as far as culture, money, power, etc. The problem is that people like you, among others try to push their values on everyone else when it's really not necessary. I wouldn't have posted in this thread just from your OP because it's completely reasonable to believe that people should stop fighting, and just be broskis. I posted because you started to say that other peoples' thoughts and opinions aren't important, which is a dick move, and it's why a lot of the fighting in the world starts when you think about it.

I just woke up recently so I apologize if anything is hard to read, or if all of it is hard to read. I may actually be an inferior to you, but I just felt like trying out typing my opinions.
 
I'm on this site because I love to ski and society has enabled me to ski...and yeah I do feel like a hypocrite but whatever it's all good I'm having fun.

Nothing is important in general, not even the essentials. It is all a matter of relativity. You MAKE christmas important to yourself. I am not pushing my values on other people, rather I am explaining a problem that I believe plagues the world. Culture, money, power, etc. are all a huge part of this problem. However, just because something isn't important doesn't mean that you can't enjoy it. I believe the human race is important to this planet in some way.

My opinions aren't important either. and you aren't inferior to me, there is no such thing as being better than someone else. But fuck it, I'm tired and my parents are making a huge deal out of this whole Christmas thing so I'm going to go give presents to my family. The islands surrounding Greece were all inhabited by Matriarchal societies in ancient times. They worshiped the fertility gods and their leaders were woman, as a result they never warred, extremely low crime and need for punishment, and they focused on intelligence and the arts, instead of betting their enemies into submission. All in all they had a much more successful and peaceful society, that is until the patriarchal greeks came in and killed them all.
 
people are a bunch of blank slates. the studies cited in this thread only show that people go with authority. were that a peaceful authority, people would be generally peaceful. if its an authority that endorses violence then people will continue to act like total fucking retards. for example see skiierman
