haha good.

i can say i dont think we will ever agree on much(as far as politics, business, religion, ect.) but i relish the opportunity for debate, i dont have many opportunity's to debate someone the way i can you on NS, most of my friends dont know or care about any big issues in life..

so we will have to agree to disagree, but hey that doesnt mean if we were ever on the same ski hill, that we couldnt get along and have a good day skiing..
 
the most impressive thing about Dubai its desalinization of ocean water for use as potable water. these people live in the fucking desert but got so rich from oil they are the only region in the world that can afford to successfully implement this technology on a large scale. the wild wadi water park is a 12 acre water amusement wonderland fed entirely by desalinized ocean water that is 100% safe to drink (before little kids piss in it). yet the rest of the world (including the infallible united states) faces droughts and all sorts of problems associated with contaminated water supply.
 
Well, the US has people who actively lobby against desal because of the environmental hazards that the brine causes. Also, desal plants would make places along the coast a lot more enviable because of the increased supply of water, and the US has strict policies regarding coastal growth; we can't just build the plants because then too many would move into the area and more safety and environmental concerns arise.

Desal is a great thing, and when everyone needs it for survival it can be implemented on a large scale. When you could do without simply by having people use less, then yeah, it doesn't get used.

I thought Id add this. Its the "Water Cube" in Beijing for the 2008 Olympics. It especially cool cause Im gonna be there during the olympics on a school trip. sickkkkkkk.

i like the walkie talkie one, but the freedom tower looks like shit. shouldn't they get something beautiful for that site? either something super ornate with the names of every person killed on 9/11 or something really stark, and blank. that'd be epic.
