Does anyone have any information on why Rossignol changed the Hugo Promodel to the B4? I've heard rumours that they are upset with him but no details.

I can't tolerate intolerant people!

the hugo promodel will never be available on the market. the B4 that will be either a mid season release or a fall entry '05 is actually the B3 that is on the market now. the name changed because they put a ski between the current B3 and B2. so they upped the name of the B3 to B4. the '05 B3 is somewhere in the neighborhood of a 80-83mm waist, i think. it is intended to split the difference between the current B3 and B2.

what hugo rides is just a bit wider than the B3. it is insanely stiff. and long. no one here would be able to fully appreciate what this ski can do.

 
in his segment intro in Happy Happy, you see a ski bring waxed (i think its waxed) and its go HUGO HARRISON printed on it.....

As far as I know that 'hugo' pro model was not a rossignol ski. I am pretty sure that Hugo is riding for prior skis now and not Rossi.

 
yeah im pretty sure the reason they changed the name of the hugo promodel to the B4 was cause Hugo is now riding for prior.

Veteran, I'd like some sort of confirmation on that one. Sounds like another NS rumor to me.

Last time I saw him in Whis' Hugo was riding custom race factory made 198's that are constructed different from the production B3's to be insanely stiff for him. Pretty much no sidecut either. They have his name on the top sheet as part of the graphic. Not sure about his Prior switch though... i'd like to hear that from Hugo himself before believing it.

the reason he had hugo written on the bottom of his skis is cuz all the rossi pros get that. evan raps had his name on the bottom of his skis in some movie i saw also, and he DEFinitely doesn't have no pro model.

my level of radness... it just can't... be quantified.
 
In Sept this year(here in NZ) he was riding the B4(same graphic as B3) and also factory Scratch which are same waist as B4(103) and so dam stiff.

 
I'm now laughing at the Hugo Rumor because it is just a rumor that he skis for Prior. He is on Rossi, do you actually think that prior as good as they are can put up that kind of $$$ for a rider like him? Besides they would be marketing the shit out of him if that was the case don't you think. NS is super funny I think you guys must read Cosmo and the National Inquirer if there was a such a thing for skiing.
