Huck or steeze

huck for sure, if a guy does a unsteezy 360 off a 100 ft cliff its for sure not better than a steezy 360 off a step down

definatley steeze...i would rather see a siiick 540 than a hucked as shit 1080 any day...steeze always comes first for me...

steez is definatly more important in terms of a trick. but you need to huck in order to progress and then you work on steeze.

this has been a topic for a longh time, and will be for the future... but there is a search bar to look for this info. and i say huck, because id rather say i can sw cork 10 then say i throw sick cork 3s

hmm. dumonts buttery smooth step up 180 or some fearless gaper huckin a wacked out pencil 1440 cuz he used to do gymnastics. i wonder.

i guess ive come to appreciate smaller spins with more style than larger spins with little to no style. im hoping thats how the sport progresses, and not into a who can spin a 230293028300 before landing-fest.

Let me rephrase this, would you rather see a racer throw a sketch ass 7 all penciled up, or a pep fujas cork 5, who cares if the racer threw an extra 180, or for that matter, i would still rather see a steezed 180 over a hucked 7, so there my friends, is why steeze is much more important than huck

soooo well said. I have a friend who is a racer(because i unfortunatly was one before) who can throw some 9 over a 45' step down. Yes for sure everyone from the club says wow you're good, but damn he has no class in the air. even with a sw 1440, pencil-steeze will never get over a nice smooth 5

You could make 1000 comparisons to make either side look better. What is cooler, a smooth 180 over a 5 foot table. Or a switch wilson flip over an 80 foot cliff?

yea, when you say huck, i think, and someothers think, like flippin off a cliff or something like seth. a hack is what i consider someone who can do the spin, but cannot steeze for cheeze. just remember if you aint got the steeze, then you aint making the g's

They're both important. If sombody can huck crazy tricks but can't even do a clean stylie 360 they arent really that good.

If sombody can only do sick 3s and 5s then they arent really that good either.

If the person can do both they are decent and if they can do stylie hucks they're amazing

It would be well said if we were comparing "Racer" style spinning to "Trick skier" style spinning but we aren't. We are comparing Trick skier style to Trick skier style.

One person wrote that without huck there would be no style. Thats true, because hucking makes people realize how rediculous it looks. Hucking lets skiers realize that they need to make thier ish look better. I prefer steeze 19 times over huck.

No contest really. Granted if someone can do a cab 10, and make it look good, then why the fuck would be called hucked anyway. If a cab 10 looks good, then it LOooks Good, there is no such thing as huck if it looks decent. Concluded......

honestly i have no interest in anything over a 9. if something is condsidered a "huck" it doesnt have steeze. but i agree its possible to do bigger tricks with style, but style is farrrrrrr more important. kill the 1080.

steeze for sure. pollard has had segments with tricks that i could do when i was 13 but they were dope cuz of his unbelievable steeze

go huck yourselves. Hucking big stuff makes people open their mouths, then the steeze factor puts a smile on their face or not. Both matter, both are cool.

i love steeze, but im fucking sick of cork 3s. yeah they look dope and were awesome like 2 years ago but everybody throws them now. id much rather see a wicked swcork5 or underflip. like JD's underflip/cork 5 thingy in Shanghai Six. im pretty sure thats the coolest thing ive ever seen.

I gree with you here, but if skiing were just about hucks (at least in the park) wouldn't newschool skiing have merged with airielists? I mean those guys can do 4 4's (4flips with 4 twists) and even 4 years ago a kid threw a 1800, im sure that if skiing was all about the hucks, a 1800 or more would win a comp, but until an 1800 or even 1440 looks smoothe and steezy, its definitely not going to win a comp, otherwise thats what the big name pros would be throwing and winning with

Steeze is important but I'm sick of people not wanting to progress because they say their working on style. Huck first, then bring the steeze to it
