L series = not affordable by any non protographer. unfortunatly.

but yes, that lens does look incredible

Yeah I saw this lens about 6 months ago, I plan on purchasing one in the near future. It's only about $2300 so it's not that bad.

woah

I always think that spending that much on a fisheye is a waste, but only because i think i would end up getting bored of fisheyes after not too long of shooting

Yeah but I also hate buying bad glass, which is why my kit is so small :(

the nikkor 10.5 f2.8 is around $700 and the right price for a high quality crop sensor fisheye, if I ever get a fisheye that would be it

ahha yeah actually i guess im the same way now that i look at it, i just have really nice glass and i guess i would hate to buy crappy glass also

fisheyes are cool for certain shots, but mainly they look kind of silly - at least to me.
I have the 10.5 f/2.8 nikon and love it, I do use it a lot, but the 70-200 f/2.8 and the 50 f/1.4 occupy my camera much more haha.
I don't know how much it is going to be - i saw 1400 and 2300 which is stupid to pay for a fisheye - at least in my opinion.
But who knows...

dont want to talk down on fisheyes it just seems like you would always get tired of it, im all about the distortion to a certain point but when it goes overboard i just never seem to like it,

i look at a fisheye picture an all i think is wow they used a fisheye and this picture is insanely distorted,

i dont really say wow thats a great photo

Its the idea of what is your eye/mind dragged to and my eye/mind is dragged to something beyond the photo something that is not even portrayed in the photo, the fisheye thats just messing up (most of the time messing up) what could have been an ok or good photo.
