HS Prom Cancelled

WOW. My high school is fucking wack sometimes. So last weekend we had our semi-formal dance, and my school tries to outlaw all forms of grinding and dirty dancing... We get one announcement the week before that grinding will be outlawed, and that our parents will be called if we get caught haha... Anyways, the dance happened, people were trashed, and people were going nuts on the dance floor. All the girls were being mad slutty, dancing like hoes, and anyways the faculty was quite mad.... Come monday, no response from the faculty, but today our head of school makes an all-school assembly and announces to the students that our prom is now officially canceled due to our disrespect of rules... blah blah blah... hahaha anyways, my school is fucking wack, and i guess I wont be having my senior prom...

Best thing is im fucking president of my class and I cant change shit...

proms a waste of money bro...honestly take all that money you woulda spent with ur friends and go renta house on the beach...thast what we did was rediculosu time. High schools are wack and are on power trips. AMERICA
 
Organize your own prom. Get everyone to donate for the venue, DJ, food, etc., and then make it free if you donated. Don't allow faculty to attend.

Almost all of my friends just got suspended for being drunk at our homecoming(good idea, i know). School is now a horrible fortress of solitude and despair. So I guess I feel you.
 
that really fucking sucks dood. i know some people don't like prom but i'd be pissed, even at the idea that they'd do that.

spend all the extra money on a senior prank?
 
fuck high school, just wait until college where you get to grind on slutty bitches, get served alcohol AT the parties, go way harder, and do it a couple nights a week. dancing with girls you don't know and will never see again is way more fun anyways.
 
well everyone on long island goes to prom to say they went to prom THEN they rent a house out in the Hamptons (rich area) and party for 4 days straight.. so if i was in your situation we'd all just drive out to the prom house and party like 69'

When I was in high school the grinding dancing was all the rage too, and I partook a little but that really wasn't my type of thing. A few years ago I chaperoned a homecoming at my old high school and it was rather disgusting seeing a bunch of 14-17 year olds basically having sex on the dance floor. I can see where your school is coming from canceling prom due to "dirty dancing" It is a very unsettling thing to watch and supervise over when you are older yourself.

If they actually cancel it for good (isn't prom season like still 3 months away? I'mm sure you have time to prove you can dance nicely), do what someone else suggested - go rent a house with some frineds and do your own thing. If you wanted to go to prom so you could get fucked up and and grind someone, then do it in a place where you won't have your school regulating you.
 
Seriously man, are you that oblivious? If your school is going to enforce policies like that, you don't want to go to the dance anyway!

I bet SOMEONE in your school has hookups to a decent DJ (you don't even need one, you could theoretically set up a bangin playlist on a laptop hooked up to a dope sound system), a venue, and security. That's literally all you need. Get on it right away, and you'll have a couple months to plan everything. If you spread the word, I can guarantee people will come to you with ideas, because they want prom just as much as you.

So get started. I don't know how rowdy your school is, but security is a MUST. Figure out everything beforehand, and it's all good!

prom is stupid....

its all about after prom. we rent a house for the weekend, get about thirty or forty 30 racks, hard stuff, and just spend two days TRASHED all together.

yea prom sucks. take the money you were going to spend on renting a tux and whatnot, get a gang of people together that were going to go to prom. throw all the money in a pot, proceed to buy as much alcohol, weed, whatever your into, with the money and rage for a weekend. trust me, you will have a much better time than dancing to sub par music and being told how to dance.
 
you should. go grab a female friend and hit it up, you wont regret it at all. but you might regret not going.

anyway OP that blows. try to make a huge replacement dance/party where people can get alll fucked up
 
I haven't been to a single dance at my school the whole 3 years i have been there, why? cause I don't either have A) Money to go B) People to go or C)Desire to go.

I really don't think Im missing much.

The only school events I have actually attended were football games, But I actually like watching football and our team was good.
 
Wow that really sucks... Our school is mad chill about that kinda stuff. Our principal/school always stresses no drugs/alcohol, but people are always smashed anyways and they're either too stupid to know, which I doubt, or they just really don't care. And grinding/dirty dancing/whatever is perfectly fine... Last time we weren't allowed that shit was middle school hahaha
 
the only reason to go to dances is to get girl hornay, and later go to an after party.....
SADLY MY SCHOOL IS GAY AND HAS POST-PROM!!!! FUCK THAT!
 
I skipped my senior prom and went to Montreal and got drunk in a strip club. Needless to say, it was way better than being at a school dance.

Dances have been banger this year at my school partly because I'm dj'ing. But this past dance not many people showed as expected and they didn't let anyone in past 8 30. So directly after the dance took the lights to a friends house and we had a raging dance party there. And I guess there is no grinding now.... Blehhhh
 
Then just set it up somewhere else, like a house and have one that is way better with more drugs and alcohol and slutty bitches on the floor of dance, and rooms to make out it or fuck it.
