Hows the hood public park?

Hey im heading down to hood in a couple days, just wondering how the park is? can you still ski to the lift?jump line?
 
A couple days ago the snow melted and you can't ski all the way to the lift and there is a two jump line with 5 rails/boxes setup I think? I thought it was fun.
 
3 jumps and a half a dozen (give or take) jibs w/ a minimal walk to the bottom of mile lift... Tline has been holding it down

no more skiing to the lift. you ski down, take your skis off, walk over some rocks, put them back on, walk over more rocks, ski down to under the lift, take your skis off and walk like 50-75 yards to the lift.
 
it was melting darn fast when i was there

but they basically had the same setup except no down rail at top and a down box before the donkey dick

but i would rather straight up hike all day and not pay then try to lap and end up walking a shit load and pay 54 dollars
 
Yeah it melted really fast when I was there (11th - 16th)the rail setup when they changed the pubby two jumps to down box to donkey dick to a flat bar to two flat boxes.
 
they must have because my last day skiing there was the 16th and they tore the half pipe down had a 2 jump line and 3boxes and 2 rails. It looked like they were starting to set up a rail where the bottom of the half pipe was though. and as for snow, like they said it melted super fast while i was there.
 
yeah they tore down the other half of the pipe and built a 3rd jump out of it friday night

the jumps were perfect tho

so fun
 
I heard from a few people this spring that they were going to be checking for passes to keep hikers out of the park, but I certainly cant confirm this or anything.
 
june to mid july. mid june they had like 7 jumps and alot of rails, but the lines were busy because of camps and racers.
 
i was there at the end of june it was sick with good jibs and jump line but they were suppose to be down sizing everything for some reason. dont know if they have done that by know but my guess is that they havent
 
yep. june-mid july is definitely the time. after that public goes hike only and kind of blows
 
how longs the hike from parking lot to top of the park? its not on palmer its on magic mile right? sorry i'm not that familiar with hood, only been there once.
 
Park update:
Park is still on Mile - 4 jump line with 6 rails - down rail, flat box, down box, donkey dick rail, flat bar, flat box, up box
Mile ski out is getting really sketchy, not fully lapable anymore

public park will be lappable august 15 when it gets moved to high cascade lane after camp session is over
 
that would be ill for everyone in the area... when i was at windells like a week ago they had a flat and up box too but those might be gone.... and the jumps were amazing... one of the best things that was at hood
