How's KITZBUHEL?

Interested in visiting Kitzbuhel for a little February skiing. How would you you say the terrain and snow is? And if there are any better resorts?

Kitzbühel is the bomb. Check out the Raintal double chairlift on the backside of Kitzbüheler Horn (it's across the valley from the rest of the resort). If you're looking for good freeride terrain, you won't be disappointed.

Here's a blog post I wrote on it: http://www.stone-snow.com/blog/?p=197

To be honest I haven't even seen the rest of the resort... that one chairlift is so sick, I never needed to go anywhere else.

It's the dopeness. I'm sure there's some really sick stuff on the other side in the main part of the resort - but I think it gets tracked over there quicker, and there you're in the middle of the ritzy Kitzbühel scene, aka the playground of the rich and famous, Russian oil barons in thousand-euro jackets, etc.

The nice thing about the Raintal lift is that there's almost nobody over there. It's quiet, laid-back, and the lift is relaxingly slow as hell - for me, just the right atmosphere. :)

Let me know what you think if you get the chance to check it out.

Excellent. Get an All Star card and check the DC park and BP. Total of 9 funparks included with that card, and loads of powder there at the moment..
