me and my friends are planning to take the bus up to kicking horse this weekend.

thing is it costs 85 bucks, so if has been shitty lately we wont bother.

Supposedly, Golden is going to get snowed on for the rest of this week, mainly on thursday and friday, so hopefully that'll hit the hill.

well the warmest temp comin up is 0 so i dunno, it's not terrible

Any recommendations for cheap places to stay in Golden?

My buddy and I drive up there from Calgary all the time and end up coming back same day.

It's quite the hike for a single day.

Are there any local "2-4s of brew for a couch" exchange programs in Golden?

 
There's the golden gate motel, it's about 50 to 70 bucks a night, then there's also the rondo, which'll be around 75-100$ a night. i guess you could also try the kh hostel but im not entirely sure what the deal with it is.

there is a bus that can pick you up fromt he airport and take you to the kicking horse river lodge.

the khrl is right by the river going up towards the hill.

thats the new hostel they have, i havent been in it, but i've heard that its good

i have no clue about the other one, i heard its crap though
 
I've been in that hostel for Breaky before.....not a bad looking place.

Breakfast was marred by having to completely drool over two hot skier chicks, though. What a shame.

I drove up to KH yesterday and good friggin' LORD was it worth it.

Everything was ill. Even caught some good light in Feuz in the afternoon.

Saw a friggin' train of nutz dropping off of a couple of cliffs back there too. Not one was under 20...person or cliff.

Where are all you young'uns at? \ Us old guys are representing that hill BIGTIME!

Fucking wicked timing for my trip. Supposed to snow til thursday. Crowds from the weekend are gone, broken winch cat is fenced off, lizzies are fixed. Shits Golden for sure. Fresh meat tonight too! booyah

they were sick for the snow
