Taught My self everything I know about park and have never hit an airbag or water ramps. For flips I've just done them on a trampoline then just brought them to snow, preferably powder but we don't get much where I ski.
I started and still do ski on a suuper small hill and its park has kind of just been progressing each year just as I have with it. No one told me to ski park or taught me how to ski it, it was just a challenge so why not. I have and probably always will wear a helmet anytime I have skis on my feet.
I was a mogul skier, which gave me some air awareness, and I learned how to do 3s and basic tricks.
Then I started sliding rails one day when I was like 14 and just progressed from there. Nowadays I try to learn a new trick every time I go out. If not, that's ok.
Definitely a mix between browsing NS, watching videos, and trial and error. I got the basic idea of how to do a 360 by watching videos and reading up on it but there will always be trial and error involved. A few tricks I just kinda accidentally learned too (switch 1, 5s)
Hit up gymnastics clubs for the tramps and dive pools, work on tricks there, might not be exact, but will really help with air awareness, other than that, ski lots, ski park lots
Wait so you're saying the unicorn literally buried himself under the snow with only his horns sticking out and he was waiting for you to fall on your arse? Ouch. That's some motivational shiz right there.
