Haven't seen a thread for it yet so I figured I'd make one... I missed the beginning of the film, but what I did see was sick... Good (if not interesting at times) soundtrack, good cinematography, tight editing, good variety... and (Nick) Martini absolutely kills it. What did you guys think of it?
 
is it a good buy? it would be the first ski film hard copy ive actually bought sooo....and its pretty cheap which helps too
 
The movie is all around sick. It has the usual amazing urban stept is known for, along with a whole lot of crazy bc stuff that is not only innovative but absolutely banger. Plus, stept always brings it back to the east coast which I love. The music makes the movie FLOW. it is sick and if u really watch it it will suck you in. pick it up, i am, and i promise you will love it.
 
way different than last year. instead of the varied music, time line/story line movie theme, how we livin was much more...fast paced, ski porn esq. the skiing was incredible, music was entertaining, and the editing was amazing. these guys know how to make a movie, and they fuckin killed it.
now it remains a mystery to me as to why they didnt even get a single nomination at IF3...
 
I think i might have to buy a copy. how long was it? any good bonus features, for those of you who've gotten it?
 
seriously. I mean ESK's movie was really good, I'm not trying to take anything away from them. But to me, stept's movie was on a whole other level, I would have put it with the pro movies.
 
ok, stept had some crazy skiing, we all agree on that. When i bought my pass for IF3 i was sure they were going to take home best AM film, but then i saw the movie and totally changed my mind. Lots LOTS of shaky shots, anoying jump cut editing, disturbing soundtrack, over/under exposed footage and absolutly no vibe, just shots after shots. Stop the love fest. I don't know who between ESK and NSF should have win but defenitly not stept.

I'll reserve judgment for when I watch the movie, but it looks like a sickter movie and from the shots that I've seen, I'm very stoked.
 
There wasn't movie I didn't like however did get restless during MSP and Sweetgrass, everythign else held my attention to the end
 
nice alias quiermo ESK kid, word on the street is that stept hit all the good rails in your movie and then you had mad pussy down rails. the real question is, how much fun did you have making your movie? how many pow days you get in? how many dope places did you travel to? how many pounds of weed you smoke? answer- NONE, when your riders film and edit the movie, ill respect ESK mustard69 bullshit
 
2things...when do you think the movie will ship, and also is it possible to buy the "How We Livin" T-shirts?
 
So if we pre ordered then did it still ship on the 15th?

yo TOUCHER and all those who think mustard69 is me. I won't hide myself to say what i think about a movie. Did I like the movie? not really, except for a couple seggys. now for the urbans, im sorry to tell you that most of those urbans are close from where i live, we've shred em way before your stept friends did, and yes, we had fun. now before talking shit on my movie, start by watching it. no i did not smoke a pound of weed, i dont smoke weed. Again yes, we had fun, if we did not have, i would not still be doing ski movies, cause i dont make money out of it and im still in school.

now if you ever watch my movie (which would surprise me), rather you like it or not i truely dont give a damn fuck about it, its your opinion. make a thread here saying its shit i dont care, but watch it before trash talking on it. yes, mustard69 is a member of ESK, no its not me.

I think that iberg (who built plehouse, nimbus, and some of pbp's movie if you dont know yet) JF cusson and Guillaume lahure (skipass) know how to judge a ski movie, probably more than you.
 
all the edit made by stept just amazedddd me and ill be the first to rate them 10. road to no where was really really good too (better then the hat trick, last esk movie ), But this year, i mean it was just weird. when i saw the movie I was excepting more, especially with the b footy hood edit. But anyway, the roadtrip part was sick. I would like to see more of sean jordan (to my opinion he should have won the super unown) . Anyway, it was a good movie, but not as good as anyone was expecting to my humble opinion.

maybe not the favorite AM for everybody, but most people would agree that it definitely deserved some awards, because it did.
 
wow, this shit is funnny. I don't why everyone is so intent on "comparing" movies, all the am movies this year were sick. Our movie turned out exactly how we wanted it to, "Wierd, Like a big edit, etc". Different than the typical shit doesnt mean bad, Its a wierd ass mix tape with a bunch of rowdy music and sick riding.
