How to wear headphones while skiing

Since I always wear a beanie and helmet, I either have iPod headphones in like normal, or Skullcandy Icons on reversed around the back of my neck.
 
Seems pretty difficult to me man, putting shit back under a toque or even worse a helmet isn't the easiest thing to do.. Icons ftw, just put em around your neck
 
Or I could just shake my head really hard. But they do fall off sometimes when I heavy head ;(
 
i can't tell if you're serious or not, because that seems like an interesting idea however i see many things that could go wrong with it...
 
I put it just behind the back of my head.

I also use Nixon Whips, they're thinner, and cause minimum discomfort under a helmet.

Do you really need to ski with music? I think the sound of your skis slicing through the snow, prowling through the powder is beautiful. But, your sound would be yelling gapers, not the silence of shred.
 
On regular hat days I wear my Skullcandys on top of my hat with my goggles over the top. On helmet days I use my helmet earphones!
 
I put my skull candy icons on the reverse way (left headphone to right ear) I then push the two circular headphone parts through the ear straps on my helmet if that makes sense. The helmet straps are nice because they keep them in there, so i don't have to worry about them slipping off my ears.
 
I ALWAYS USE BUDS WHEN I SKI CAUSE MY ICONS ARE UNCOMFORTABLE UNDER MY HELMET, AND I CANT GET THEM TO STAY ON IF I PUT THEM BEHIND MY NECK.

I DO WEAR ICONS WHEN IM NOT ROCKIN A HELMET THOUGH. BACKYARD SHENANIGANS AND STUFF.
 
Damn, if I saw this idea last year, it would have made those few headphone days a whole lot better. I have a skate style helmet too, and it would have worked great.

For those that said listening to music is a bad idea... I can't really understand that. If I'm alone, I NEED to be listening to the songs from my favorite edits. It's like a drug, it pumps me up a whole bunch. However, I hate if I have a friend that's banging tunes on the lift ride, and has to say 'WHAT?!' every time I say something to them. Friends ride up together partly to talk to one another, I hate it when it gets disturbed by something like that.
 
Might sound completely retarded but I wrap ear buds over the top of my ear and let them hang down/let my beanie snug them up next to my ear... makes it so I can still hear whats going on around me and it doesn't hurt when you fall and the earbuds get ripped out of your ears.
 
i use any skullcandy's that go in my ears. makes for zoning out everyone else so you can focus on getting jacked for the jump or rail line.
