How to wear a Coonskin hat skiing?

I happen to have a coonskin cap and have seen Sammy Carlson vids where he is crushing pow with a coonskin on. Anybody know how to wear one of those with goggles so it stays on? I feel like with the tail in the back it would be hard to wear goggles on the hat itself and would just fall off

Sammy is the only one that can pull it off with out looking like a 30-year-old weekend warrior from Chicago who skis one weekend per season.

Hopefully I get a nice enough raccoon this fall to make a nice cap, bet your ass ill rock it on the slopes too
 
Lol I mostly wanted to wear it on spring fling weekend at my local mountain for the pond skimming. I've had some concussions so I always ski in a helmet.

Only other exception would be to have on jeans and a Cowboys starter.
 
Hold it on with your goggle or if you know how to sew I'd suggest sewing on a chin strap so it doesn't fly off. You don't want to hike up through the pow just to retrieve your hat. You can use a little piece of leather on the strap so that you can cinch it under your chin. Before I started wearing a helmet I used to like skiing pow in a rabbit fur hat and it was awesome. It was super warm and shed water and snow.

Looks like Sammy has his hat held on by his goggles.

It also looks like Sammy hucked some fuckin gnarly pow lines in the backcountry on kingpins. Will OP do the same?

Skin it in a dormitory bathroom and you'll get exponentially more G.N.A.R points. Dude at my school drove down from Alaska with his traps and caught critters in the drainage behind campus.
