ok, so i am in canada for a working holiday and want to send my skis home. i am going touring around europe on my way home so i dont want to lug them all around. what is the cheapest way of getting them back? so far i have only found something about $600

pay someone at the airport to add them to their luggage...if you can trust a stranger with your shit...FedEx or UPS up next in line

unless ur in bumfuck idaho local ski ill, im sure theres about 300 other aussies doing a season with you. we do tend to plague the world.

so, just find someone who is headin home after the season. girls are a good bet. their skis are little and theyve often got space in theyre bags.

just buy them some beer and at least ul get it to aussie shores.

if not, yes you will pay out the arse to get them home.

yeah, the reason it costs so much is that they're so much longer than the standard size of cargo. sounds stupid but it'll be the same pretty much everywhere. I went through the same stuff with my skis going back from nz, but i managed to get someone else to bring it home. ask around, someone might be able to help you out. also, they can arrange to leave your stuff at the airport for a long time, and they'll just keep it there until you come and pick it up.

check to see if you can find any cheep freight, putting them on a boat takes a long time to get them home, but you won't care about that because you're not going to be there for a while. Good luck
