also you could try putting on a back brace or some protection to boost your confidence
 
I just try to not hesitate, because more time think about a thing = more time to get scared of thing. As soon as you get to the inrun of whatever you’re trying, just go before you have a real chance to think.
 
Try to amp your self up and if you need to take a run in or 2 and visualize the trick that your going to be doing. That'll help with getting over your fear and it helps you know what you need to do.
 
Just get really comfortable with whatever feature you’re on and just build from there. Apart from that, some loud music and a little thc can go a long way.

Before u send, tell yourself that you'll never get pussy if you don't lace the quad 21 you're about to try, then grab your sack and by the time you land you'll basically be Tanner Hall
 
try telling yourself that you're going to ski down to the jump or feature to "check it out" or "speed check it" and then at the last second just keep going and send the trick you want. sounds weird but just try it, i've landed many tricks by just going for it last second.

This is so true... My switch abilities have drastically improved since I just starting linking switch turns down groomers. Because I'm extremely comfortable with skiing backwards now both landing and taking off switch are much, much less daunting.

A cotton candy Rockstar Xdurance will help you level up real quick. Also, along with this, I remember Mike Wilson saying something along the lines of “it’s crazy what a helmet and a mouthguard will do for your confidence.” So accurate.
 
theres two methods

1. think about it, visualize everything about the trick, work on the trick on a tramp, watch endless videos on how to do it. eventually try it and get stoked when you get it

2. don't think just huck and pray.

in my experience both work equally well.
 
whatever I do is:

1. Think through the trick and imagine the best outcome, think of how stocked you're going to be

2. Count to what ever number below 10

3. F*cking send it!!!!!
 
Find a local YMCA or other place that has diving boards and practice a bunch on the trick your learning. Then when you get back on snow your body has the motion memorized and it takes a lot of the "Holy Shit" feel out of a new rotation etc.

Skiing with other people trying shit and encouraging you to try shit will make you way more sendy than being on your own and having to psych yourself up to try something.

I’ve found having someone film has definitely helped a lot for me. It just adds a little more pressure to commit because you don’t want video footage of you being a Jerry and pussying out last minute. When I was making the transition from boxes to rails, what made me finally commit was having someone film. Having a video of me side jumping would have been way too embarrassing so I just sent it.
 
A little bit of liquid courage never hurt. essential when icy to ease the pain of slams. I usually fill a coke bottle half w jack daniels. by the time you're most of the way thru it you'll have some major balls.
