Yeah it sucks I watched a few videos like that probably about 10 minutes worth like 20 minutes ago and my eyes are still a little glitchy.

Not working, I don't really get what it wants me to do. Should I focus on a part of the desk halfway between my monitor and my eyes or what? Someone help

try as hard as you can to look at your nose once you see your nose (you will see two noses) look up at the screen

You shouldn't be scared of it but you should respect it. I think one of the best settings for trying it is at a music festival. You have a shit ton of music playing the whole time, great energy level, other people having similar experience, don't have to worry about family cops shit like that, no need to drive anywhere, ambulances and shit are there worst case.

Make sure you get something good and take it easy. No need to go crazy first try. (although that can be awesome, I'm sure it could go the other way as well)

Will try this vid another time. It hurt my eyes trying to focus. I don't think I did it right anyway

There are very slight differences in position between the two videos, and when you fuse the images by overlapping the black dots there is a slight visual disparity between all the points of the models and this creates a sense of depth. The same idea is used for magic eye pictures and even 3d TV (I think, I haven't read anything about it but that's how it should work). The video was actually a pretty nice quality demonstration.
Trust me, I'm an eye doctor (well in 6 months i'll graduate)

It's way more than ill when you become good at it, BUT it really really fucks with you I am having such a hard time seeing.

Yup as far as i can telll 3d tv is filmed in the same way although projected a little differently. With 3d movies they project the 2 images onto the screen using 2 diifferent polarized filters. The 3d glasses we wear are polarized this way too, so one eye gets the image from one angle and the second from the other.I don't know much about the specifics of how 3d television but it sounds like right now you basically get alternating frames in each eye. Like left lens goes black, right is clear with tv giving a frame viewed from angle 1 and then right lens goes black and left goes clear showing the same frame viewed from angle 2. Because it's changing back and forth so fast they basically unite to give a common image. That said I'm pretty sure they are working on developing tvs that used the polarized method as well as some that won't need glasses at all.

That was sick as fuck!

had to restart the video once but now its easy. look at your nose and slowly look up and once the dots are together if you can focus on the rest of the picture its really easy to keep your eyes like that.

i can see fine afterwards...dont know what everyone is talking about

damn i used to have that name, and thought i made this thread for a minute but didnt remember making it at all. lol
