How to rip dvds onto itunes

I have a hole heep of dvds that i need to rip onto my computer to chuck onto my ipod. I downloaded a dvd ripper off the net but my free trial ran out and i dont wanna pay 40$ to buy it, and all the other ones i found on the net would only rip half the movie in the trial. Is there a free way of getting your dvds onto your ipod or how have you done it?

why cant you just do it off itunes like you can a cd?

because then everyone would just rent a movie and rip it and never buy thm and apple is pushing the itunes movie store.

cheers for that. i downloaded it and its truding along. does yours take real long to rip them though? mines taken like 2 hours!

download,
than have the dvd in the drive and open souce(under file)
than itll go the ad to queue
than click the movie under your queue, then hit th play btton once the movie is highlighted.
