Theres a screw thats stripped on a pair of bindings Im trying to remove, what the best way to go about getting it out? Should I use a screw extractor? Drill it out? HELP!!
and I would rather not destroy the skis in the process.

if you just stripped the thread, it should screw out. if you stripped the head there are a couple things you can do: first heat up your screw driver bit with a torch, until it is almost red hot, then push the bit into the head of the screw for about a minuet, letting the heat transfer into the screw, then firmly unscrew. this only works if the head is slightly thrashed and is not necessarily good for your screwdriver. the other option is to drill the screw out. use a 2mm bit to drill down the screw shaft about a millimeter, then follow with a 5mm bit. this will result in the screw head popping off. finally use a hacksaw to cut the top of the screw flat with the topsheet. these are the only ways i know how to remedy this problem, but id like to hear other options

lowes/home depot sell thing called ez-outs or something like that....you drill into the head of the screw about 1mm, then hammer this ez-out bit in, then screw it in....it is counter rotating, so when you try to screw it in, it pulls the screw out....ive used these several times on my skis with no problem at all

EZ-out will do it.

If it's just one then you can sometimes just spin the whole toe around and it'll twist off.

Or drill off the head completely (don't go deep enough to damage the binding itself), then lift the binding off. You're left with a stump. File two sides of that and use pliers/vicegrips/etc to unscrew it.

this is wat i ended up having to do, will it be easy to get a replacement screw for some px12's from a local shop?

another easy way out is a demel, use the dremel to cut a line in the head of the screw so a flat head screw driver will fit. then use a flat head screw driver to unscrew it

my way was to just slide a supper thin hack saw between the biding and and ski and saw it off.

ski top sheet was a little hacked but otherwise it worked fine.

thats what my genius father did...i would say instead of telling him to potentially fuck up his skis, say something that could get the srew out.maybe you skied fine but thats not going to alwyas be the case
