How to remove goggle streaks on matte black helmet

Hey Newschoolers! My brother recently purchased the back giro ledge helmet at the start of last season. He is younger and just getting into skiing do he wore his goggles on on the outside of his helmet. The goggles he had were from the same company (giro), and had clear kind of synthetic rubber that made the goggles grip to the helmet. The problem that surfaced is that the black surface of his helmet not has lines that these goggles left from pulling up and down that I can’t seem to get off. Suggestions for removing would be appreciated!

use a light solvent like isopropyl or denatured alcohol. Something like acetone will probably fuck it up so be careful

Ha I actually made a thread about sweat on matte helmets earlier this year. Try ammonia free window cleaner

That’s what it is??? And does windex have ammonia?

Its beyond saving. However in life, when one door closes, another one opens.

Another fantastic fucking thread made by some vain little bitch who doesn't like how his helmet appears on the tiktoks. I can't wait for the thread about how to buff out scratches on topsheets.

Depends. Some windex does, some doesn’t. The organic brands usually don’t have ammonia

Found some window cleaner and it worked like a charm! Brother is very pleased!
