How to properly dry wax your skis? +k for help!

Yes I know that it's better to hot wax your skis but I dont have any way to do that and I'd rather learn to wax my skis myself and not have to pay a ski shop to hot wax them everytime.

I bought some Swix wax and it says rub on so what do I need to do to get the best results from this?

its optional. To get optimal base condition I would buff it in with a cork like i said earlier, but if you dont have one of those i would just leave the wax there.
 
Leaving wax on the surface of the base will make your ski even slower. Wax needs to get into the base, and this requires heat. Obviously hot waxing achieves this but also why rub on wax comes (or should come) with a cork. Once you rub on the wax, you take the cork and rub the wax into base. This creates friction, which in turn creates heat and allows SOME wax to penetrate the base. When you do it properly, you will be quite tired, haha.

It does not last nearly as long as a proper hot wax, but if it is all you got, it's better than not waxing.

Serious note, as been said before rub down your entire bases with wax then use either a structuring pad, or cork. Both get great results and depending on the type of wax and how thorough you are depends on long the rub on will last.

Just remember to press firmly while waxing on, and waxing off to try and get as much wax in the base as possible.
