ok, im just going to put this on here b/c iv sent pm's out to like 9 ppl on how to do... so here it is everyone.
first, i soaked the bandana in water then draped and stretched it over the crowbar frame w/o the outriggers or lens on. then i let it dry over night on the frame so it was kind of in the shape of the frame (the water soaking also helps to clean the bandana). then i covered all the surfaces that the bandana needed to be touching with tacky glue(make sure you put extra glue on the parts that are narrow, that curve, or tight spots). then just put the bandana back onto the frame and smoothed it out over the glue. let it dry for a few hours then cut it w/ scisors and an exacto knife for the finer details, like cuting out where the lens goes and the holes for the oakley O on top and the outriggers.
sounds complicated but its really not that hard at all. just let the water dry overnight then let the tacky glue dry for a few hours and then cut off. im sure other kinds of glue would work, gorilla glue would probably but i had tacky glue so thats what i used. hope that helps. and props if you try it.
also, if you manage to make these(nice!), i would highly advise taping the facefoam, then spraying the fabric w/ waterproofing spray. b/c im 90% sure that if you took the ones i made to a hill and got snow on them that the glue would start coming off. so def waterproof!!
im sure it would work w/ other types of fabric as well. im going to try something similar to satin on the crowbars today. i'll let you guys know how it goes.
