How to not cork 3

I recently haven’t been able to do 360 off jumps. I used to be able to do them off any size jump easily. I took a break and now everytime I do a 3 my friends say I am corking and I land on one foot. How can I fix this?? Thanks in advance!

We can only give you tips on what to do right, but the best way to figure out is to post a video and we can tell you what you are doing wrong.

ok, ill take a video next time i go, thanks

More pressure in the front of your boots would help, so would a T set to help you get on axis 3s back

I did this when first learning 3s. I think it was caused by look down at the lip after twisting 180 instead of keeping my head up and more level. At least once I started looking more uphill (where I dropped in from) in stead of the lip, things became more balanced.

The best way it was described to me when I was learning was to think about "popping off your tips." Not so much that you're nollie-ing or anything like that, but what it will effectively do is pop your weight up and forward as you start your rotation instead of popping and rotating at the same angle as the takeoff.

You might be pushing off one foot to help you rotate instead of just using your upper body, throwing you slight off axis

This is probably a result of going off the lip slightly backseat, most of your pressure on one foot, and looking down. When you go to do a 3 make sure that your ankles are maintaining pressure with the front of your boot and when you pop off the lip focus on lifting your upper body and chin to the sky. Idk exactly what you're doing wrong but this should help.

I watched it, don't worry, you're not doing a cork.

That said, the reason you're going off-axis slightly is that you're spinning with your legs penciled and a narrow stance. As you do the spin, slightly lift your knees up and be sure to keep your feet shoulder-width apart during the spin, don't let your boots touch mid-air. You also can start to keep your elbows at a 90-degree angle through the spin and out in front of you. As you get better with your legs, you'll start to be able to pole plant in one smooth motion on landing, like a fucking gangster.

If you do a 360 and follow the above, you'll land it first try.

If you do another 540 like in the video, you're going to need to practice landing switch with a wider stance, you'll get it between 1-5 tries.

All of what you're doing wrong can be fixed with a lower/wider stance, go watch some Henrik videos and practice your gorilla steeze. Keep up that speed and the set, both looked good. Speed in particular, baller shit.

from the vid looks like ya just need to look back up at landing when landing switch. Also if u want to slow down the rotation when u land you can look over right shoulder
