How to mount skis on a wall

Metal brackets (like small ones just big enough to fit round your ski)

and if with binding, either take the brakes off or elastic band them up

2 pieces of wood sticking out of the wall slightly narrower than the widest section of the ski. kinda like how pool cues clip into wall mounts but you would have to slide it down through so the ski the gets lodged...that probably makes no sense, but it makes perfect sense in my head!

Two nails per ski, at the right height at width. Slot ski in to hang it on the wall.

These things. Mounted coat hanger thingys

heavy grade velcro - not the poster crap, more the 5lb per square inch type. Looks cleaner and no holes when you take em down

Either just throw some nails up there and hope they rest on it. Or take 2 pieces of wood for each ski and ground out a little slit for it to sit in at the end. So the ski just kinda falls into place. Then you just need to mount the wood like you would a shelf, with one of those L brackets. Or get the things you use to mount a curtain rod, that would work too.

I went to a dollar store and got a roll of double sided adhesive tape stuff. two little strips on each ski and they're strong enough to use as coat hangers which I do. Id post pics but fuck you

do you want like a nice looking storage rack, or do you want to display a pair with the topsheets facing out?

use the design already posted for the former. for the later what you do is attach two pieces of doweling the right width and then any normal sidecut ski just fits in. also use rubber bands on the brake so they sit flush with the wall

im mounting all my skis via magnets. saw the idea at a local ski shop so cannot take credit. just looks clean and these magnets are strong as fuck ! and they look soooooooo clean ! and trust me, ur skis wont fall of haha u have to pry those bithes off, ( note . this only works if you have enough edge left for it to hold )

I've used deeper brackets of this style before. In my dorm we had two shot skis crossed up in the kitchen with these brackets.

I'm in the process of building a larger rack right now with this general design:

I'm using brushed steel hex bolts screwed into to laminated 1x4s with rubber tubing over the bolts to protect the skis. Each pair of skis lies horizontally across the bolts. I'll post up a couple pics next weekend when I finish the thing.
