How to make Premiere stop lagging between two timelines?

Hey yall, so im new to premiere, had to switch to it for a wedding video Im doing right now. Problem Im getting is editing between two sequences. I need to do a trailer so Im geting shots from previous scenes and pasting them into the trailer to then re edit. Problem is, the second I switch sequence, both of my sequences lag to the point of being impossible to edit.

4 gigs i beleive (mac) but is there a way for it to stop processing the closed sequence?

I know the milk would stop it from processing anything at all.

Pouring milk on your keyboard wouldnt make any process stop you dumb fuck. Unless he is on a laptop, then maybe.
