How to make a premier happen

I'm thinking of throwing down a premier in my town and would be doing this for the first time. Can you guys give me some feedback on what makes a good premier?

And for those who handled this in the past can you give me some feedback on behind the scenes:

For example: how much to charge? Best time to have the show? How many movies to premier? Best way to handle a premier and have 21+ over party afterwards? Sponsorships? Looking for as much input as possible, so anything will help.

e-mail local reps for sponsership, make it look like its abslutly going to happen, no maybes, ive charged between 5 and 10 dollars. Get some prizes down. Local shop to help if possible. And it's better if you can get two movies, makes it more woth while if you ask me.
 
yo i just set one up for the UVM ski and snowboard club. im sure its alot easier setting one up for a school or legit organization, but heres what me and another person had to do.

contact the film production company. talk to them a bunch. if they are down, they might need some funding, might not. depends on the film, swag, pros coming, etc.

Then you need to secure a viewing area including seating, screen, sound system, etc.

the rest you can coordinate with the film company. i know most of them have links on their website to set em up, but im pretty sure most film tours are already set.
