How to make a box? ++++karma

i made a box and got pvc now i need to know how to get the pvc to stay on the box so ite ready to be shreded upon...... i thought about nailing it or screwing it is u know how post it there could be a little gift in the form of karma for u

if you can, screw up from the bottom of the wood into the pvc of course this is only if you can. if you cant you can just drill thew the top and crew the pvc in that way. the hole on the top doesn't effect the slideing surface as much as you would think. also do NOT use nails. if you do use a little and them mostly screws.

do you have the sheets of hdpe or pvc tubes? for tubes the guy above me got it. if its a sheet of it (which i would assume it is for a box) you just have to counter sink the screws, basically just get them down far enough in that they wont affect your sliding. if your sheet is too thin that wont work. i think ive heard it needs to be at least 1/4 of an inch thick. also use screws with a low profile.

i dont actually know anything about building boxes but ive just read alot of threads on it. so i guess i should have just said searchbar

first use liquid nails to adhear the pvc to the wood then screw threw the bottow approximatly every 6 inches

step 1: get an invite to build a jib 101 cult

step 2: read one of many directional threads

i think build a jib might even be an open cult

drill a hole through the top and screw it into the wood. much sturdier than screwing up from the bottom because it is being held down. screwing through the bottom doesnt really hold the pvc down, it just holds onto it

nah not really at all just make it only big enough for the screw to go through with the drill bit

Dude its simple i made a box like this last year i made it two 2 by 4s wide and but three 1/2 inches pvc pipes on each 2by4. the way i did it was on each end i would put the screw on the inside of the pipe angled inwards and drill in into the wood after that i turned the set up over and drilled in from underneath every few feet my screws went into the middle of the pipe. there should be no holes on the top. im sure this would also work with bigger pipes but i figured that smaller diameter ones were stronger. good luck

if you drill the holes for the screws on the side of the PVC and drill at an angle then you should have no problem. That is what i did for my jib, and also if you break the PVC it is easy to replace.
