hey guys quick ?

I downloaded a mixtape but when i go into my itunes and try playing it an error comes up telling me to go locate where i put all of the files[music].

help where i can extract all the files too.

thanks ns

go into your itune preferences and then go to advanced ( i think i am on mac and i am just guessing your on windows) click copy all music to itunes music folder, and click keep music organized. Then go into one of the file menus and select consolidate itunes music library. This will copy all of your music files into itunes own secure location. Then you can delete all of your other files to save space, and every time you open a music file itunes will copy and save it in its location and you won't loose music anymore.

At the moment you had that mixed tape and opened it and then deleted the original file or moved it so itunes can't find the file to read off of.

i'm having the same problem where it asks me to locate the files, i did the consolidate library thing, but where do i move the music it can't find so that it can find it again?

what i do is i make a separate folder of downloaded music where i can put the files after i extract them.i then drag the files into itunes. that should work

I do that, but instead of just dragging them into iTunes, I import them in, it saves time. Key command: Ctrl+O. Easier Imo
