How to get these colour tones?

This picture has beautiful colour tones and I can't for the life of me think how he got them?

Well they probably did a lot of other things but desaturation was one.

bring down red curve a little bit, green up VERY LITTLE, and blue a little bit (equal to red) then desaturate -10

oh and if you bring the top levels bar up to like 45 and the bottom one to 35, youll get a muted black tone along with the other tone to produce something like this:
