How to get free lift tickets

NS I need your help, I tried to get two jobs at my local hill both of which I did not get which was my main source of getting a pass. Now I am stuck with no money and no way of getting a pass. I am stuck.

So i ask you NS on how you get your free passes or get away with not getting a pass.

Dont hate on me and say I dont support the industy

 
i think alot of mountains have 'host' programs where you volunteer and answer questions for guests, give directions, etc.

here at stevens we give our hosts a pass
 
Not everywhere. Stowe is built on state land (at least the Mansfield side) so it is illegal for them to stop you from hiking up
 
If your mountai has a comp center see if you can work for them. I've worked races and get a free pass for the day to ski when the race isn't going on and a voucher for another pass anyday of the season. 1day work = 1 day skiing. And the work isn't even that hard.
 
I put huge sticker of my home mountain on my car = free pass + 200$ at the shop. So, free ski because i have 60% off on salomon

Anyway, its kind of complicated but it might work. If your mountain has roads that go next to the slope, get a friend to drive you to the top, ski down, have him meet you at the bottom and take you back up and repeat. Tell me if it works. Haha.
 
ya mang thats what ive been trying to do but really no luck yet

and just so you all know my local hill is fuckin tiny so i dont think they are going to have any host programs like big mtns do

Split the cost of a pass with a friend. Go to customer service, pretend you lost your pass, pay the fee (usualy 20$) split that cost and you have a pass at half price. You get the original pass and your friend gets the new pass. make sure its a friend you dont ski with so they dont catch you and you have a pass half off!
 
just a tip for next season..

save up in the summer to buy a seasons pass beforehand..

if not you'll be stuck hiking the mountain and backyard jibbing.
 
I think most mountains caught onto this little trick. we got away with it a bunch of times like ten years ago, but last time I tried it they were like, "oh well... you can only lose your pass one time" or some shit, and if you are like, "no its gone forever I dropped it in the ocean" they disable your pass and issue you a new one... Plus your friend that you never can ski with has to look a lot like you.. its tricky.
 
they dont ask for that when your going up the lift. the guy who made the pass originaly asks for the new one and gives it to the other guy. Mountains with scanners are the only ones that this wont work with. and you dont have to wory about him looking like you, you have ski clothes on and if the guy bugs you, freak out on him. "wtf I get bugged with this every time, you guys take such shity pictures, I dont look like myself, I know!

Or get to know the locals. I have 3 friends who score me tickets, in case of emergency, if i forget pass, or it breaks.
 
move to western canada and get good at racing, pipe or moguls. Then they will give you a can west pass.

you cna do it... but only on national forest land... the mtn/business doesnt own national forest land. they lease it. but through taxes u pay for national forest land. so technically ski patrol cant tell u to leave. so hiking isnt a bad option. but it sucks dick

u can also ask ppl when they leave the mtn if u can cut there pass lol never hurts to ask
 
i know shell gas stations offer free passes or really good discounts after you fill up enough. is that only for stevens and snowqualime? or you always good barrow a pass if its RFID and not get caught. if you do yo will get charged with tresspassing and probably destruction of property. thats what my brother got charged with when he lent his pass to someone. the kid was a dumbass broke it and asked if he could get a new one and the found out he wasnt my brother
