How to get footage from non-digital camcorders onto your computer?

Analog to Digital usually sucks so don't go spending too much money unless you don't care about the quality. When we had our analog put onto digital it's the worst quality shit and it's shit and theirs no sound and it's shit shit. The thinger was like $120 too so we just borrowed it from our store hookup (friend's sister's boyfriend).

I wasn't the one who did it, the dude at the CompuSmart here did it for us with some 'USB Video CD Pro' or something like that and the sound wasn't transferred with it.

i just hooked a vcr up to my computer...that worked
