i was wondering what are some way to learn how to learn how to do flips and such. i was thinking learning how to do it on a diving board and better ideas i have a pool maybe i should make a ramp.

try it in a swimming bath from the 3 meter tower without anything! If you want to learn some cork it´s a good opportunity without hurts but a lot of pain ;)!

Reply when you´ve tried it :)

water ramps for sure usually where there are ramps there are tramps as well, its definitly worth it

yea. get comfortable on a trampoline. its the closest feeling without goin full on ramp. just get comfortable in the air, and how you actually set tricks. as for diving boards, they are fun, but i think since the force of the boards springback is forward, its really different to set rearward corks and backflips. they are easy to do bios and misty type shit, but i usually have to do corks and flips switch on um.

as for on snow, powder, OR, find a really well built and planned jump with a nice landing that matches the trajectory of the jump. that way, if you do land off axis, there wont be much of an impact.

I think the biggest thing is just getting comfortable in the air, so that you're not like ahh fuck am i gonna falll you're just chill and balanced. you can do whatever you want at that point.

ok learn tricks on your tramp smooth and practise everyday and pratice grabs and so on the you will have mucsel memory ..then take that to water ramps then to snow thats te way to do it

yeah, having your muscles get used to is is really the key. you want to know what you're doing all the time when you're in midair.

In my opinion tramps don't give you that great of a feel for tricks. I've never been very good at them and I've never owned one so thats probably why. For me, I had to try with a self built jump that i really liked that had alot of pop and a soft landing and just hit it till i got the guts to actually huck a flip. Then i'd try it, and think about how i landed and what i had to do to land on my feet the right way and then try it again and again. In half a season i had them and i could do them everywhere.....and i live in michigan where theres not much pow, just pile up snow like four feet deep and don't shape it into a landing till you're ready.

It's all about trying it and getting hurt. Don't be a pussy because you will get hurt and that's how you get better.

^dont do that youll be drooling the rest of your life

practice on tramp or diving board then try it on a good kicker

hahahaha this made me laugh soooo hard. that logic is amazing!

i would say practice on diving boards and trampolines and stuff. and if you have money go to a camp, or water ramps. because soft landings are better than icy landings

GO FOR IT. and eat ur vegtables. you onyl get better from your mistakes. or you can just keep making the same mistake

I learned how to do backflips on a trampoline quite recently, that was quite a mental battle. I agree with the guy about you have to be prepared to put your body on the line to get better fast. I used to do motocross jumps so I found the switch to ski jumps reasonably easy (I went straight to the biggest jump I could find and kept doing it until I could ski away from it).

In NZ there's no (findable) powder and I don't own a trampoline so pretty much the only option is to harden the f*ck up and do it.

Okay man. If you want to get good at skiing. You need a tramp. You should definitely get a tramp. It's like a must. I've learnt so much shit on my trampoline by myself its retarded. And it transfers right over to water ramps and then to snow.

Get a backyard trampoline.

tramp

water ramp

powder

park

tramp helped me so much this year

it helps you learn to control your self in the air

yea my friend right down the street got one and i couldnt even really do front flips before that but now i can bio, rodeo somewhat cork. it really helps if u have a friend thats good on the tramp that you can watch first

my progression usually is:

tramp/diving board

powpow (when possible)

the park.

diving boards are good for building air awareness and practicing straight spins, bios, and mistys. tramps are good for everything as long as the spin is not too big. that being said, i've leaned different spins in the park too without a tramp or pow practice, it's all a matter of how comfortable you are, like i know i can almost always get my feet back under me is i want to try a new axis of rotation, but it all depends on your air awareness.
