So here’s my edit for the season so far. I normally only get

to ski once a week at a little

resort in southern pa, but I really want

to get some sort of small sponsorship
… I know my vid isn’t great, but does

anyone have tips on getting sponsored or just cleaning up my style or even about how to make a better edit. I’m going

out to 7 springs in a couple weeks then to Breckenridge for spring break and I

want to know what I should try to land to get a sponsorship. Please no hate this is my 3rd

year park skiing, but I only get around 25 days a on the slopes a year if I’m

lucky. +K for helpfulness!

1. go out and have fun with skiing2. enter comps3. get results in comps4. don't try to find them, they find you.

i think you should work on more techniquality on your rails. If you look at some great videos where people hit rails, they are doing 2-3 different tricks on a single rail.

you have to learn more trick, try some swup on rails, practice your spin(try to land a 720 and some 540 with grabs), try some flips like flatpsin. those are all basic trick that you absolutely need to be spons. also, like someone said above, enter comps.

I will take the high road here.

This will not get you sponsored. If you want to get any sponsorships you need to do the following:1. Practice more, film less. Don't just ski to get the shots, practice. Try out harder tricks and keep pushing your skills before you try to get sponsored.

2. Contest results. Most brands won't give you much attention without any results from comps, so if you want to get sponsored you have to get into competitions.

3. Trick difficulty. The tricks you threw down were nothing that a company will be too impressed by. If you really want a sponsorship you are probably going to need to get inverted, and absolutely up your game on jumps and rails. Needs more style and technicality.

Hopefully this helps, I mean no hate. I am not much better than you, but I'm just skiing for fun. If you want to be sponsored, you're going to have to commit to it.

Get some grabs with your spins, a little more technical quality on rails, and develop your style some more and id say youre on the right path my friend. Edit was pretty fun i enjoyed it, could prolly use a better camera and have your camera man follow a tiny bit better for better angles, but it really wasnt ubearable as is so sweet job.good luck!

My question to you (and to anybody else in this position, as well) is: why do you want to be sponsored?

Because it's cool? Elite status? Free shit?

The point of sponsorship is to get a brand out there, to help create or maintain and image, and ultimately sell more shit through your use and support of the brand. If you aren't skiing very often, nor skiing particularly well (your skiing is fine for how little park you ski), then what does a company benefit when they give you stuff?

This topic has been beaten to death over the years. Simply put: invest in knee pads, or just continue having your parents buy your shit. You don't need to be sponsored.

But if you do insist on heading down that road: imagine you're watching your edit without any context. As a viewer, you are bored and disengaged within the first 5 to 10 seconds because nothing compelling is happening. All we see is the epitome of a park skier.

its good to see another liberty rider, im there about once a week. but dont use the fact that you dont get to ski often as an excuse, its not like companies or ns are gonna care about that when youre here asking about sponsorships. so yea, comps are a big part of it, along with making a solid edit showcasing your talent. keep practicing, learning new stuff. unfortunately, i dont see you getting any sort of sponsorship this year, even if you progressed alot. so just ski to have fun and dont worry about sponsors and stuff like that, not many people make it there

Not trying to be mean but you just aren't that good yet. Have fun with it and push yourself to get new tricks, again HAVE FUN!!! Enter some contests when you are feeling comfortable to do so. Just wait, mature, get better, tune your style, watch your flailing arms and your weird switch riding.

1) get some ski lessons

2) learn how to ski properly

3) Ski properly

4)???????

5) Profit

ski companies are not going to want to sponsor some one who can barley ski forward let alone switch. But your still young and have lots of time to just work on style, technical tricks, proper ski stance... :)

slow down, ur goin a mile a minute playa. Gota work the roots, n not get em twisted. Shit'r easy n erone wud do it. Yah guta work to get sponsers, becuz they'll work 4u. Trai hittng rails n spnin on em and landing on two fet. Half thes shots rnt worthy of the videoh. Keep wrkn tho mah man! But beling sponsred isnt everythign... I'm not sponsered and I can still make toast and pancakes, nt to mention grill weiners.

Try not to blow out your knees. Anyway like people have mentioned above me, just keep on pushing yourself, and attempting harder tricks, even if you don't land them. Practice makes perfect.

congratulations you are the first person ever to type an entire paragraph and not spell one word right

You are the "image" skiing does not want learn how to ski normally before you try to ski park

first tip is don't use a song that cusses or says nigga 10x in it that you're sending out..they hear that..they'll toss it out the window..they can't show there managers that shit

Steps to being sponsored//

Start skiing

Look for sponsor

Create company selling XXXX

Look for skier to sponsor

Find one's self in the inner vortex of the space time curve, while exploring your true purpose in said curve

Sponsor one's self

Promote own company

Profit from self sponsorship

Perpetual motion machine

FUCK YOU PHYSICS!

At this point dont worry to much about sponsors, just push yourself and learn new stuff everyday, and like most people said before, you need to compete. Ask yourself what do you have to offer to a company, will you really be able to promote them?, if you think you think you have something to offer then go search for sponsors, but the main thing is just keep having fun skiing!

P.S when making edits only use the shots that are best, dont put in sub-par stuff.

not trying to be a dick but you're not ready for a sponsorship yet. You might be one of the best at your mountain but just wait till you get out to Breck and see all sorts of kids with no sponsors absolutely saying. just keep skiing and having fun with it.
